He said: “They come to my house at about 11p.m. There was a day I had to interrogate a man that she brought home. She introduced him to me as her pastor.”
He said further that his wife brought an Okada man to his house, who she introduced to him as someone that would be taking their children to and from school.

PHOTOS: Ronaldo Reportedly Dating Spanish TV presenter, Lucia Villalon
Cristiano Ronaldo is rumoured to be dating
Spanish TV presenter, Lucia Villalon just days
after ending his relationship with former
girlfriend.

The 29-year-old sports star, who split from
model, Irina Shayk over the Christmas
period, has been linked with the brunette
beauty by Spanish newspapers after they
were seen together at the recent FIFA World
Player of the Year event in Zurich, where
Ronaldo collected the prestigious award.

Neither the Real Madrid player nor Lucia – a
law and journalism graduate – has
responded to the rumours, which surfaced
shortly after Ronaldo’s ex-girlfriend denied
that their split was caused by a family feud.
Last week, it was claimed that Ronaldo
dumped Irina because she refused to attend a
60th birthday party he was organising for his
mother, Dolores.
However, a spokesperson for the model-
and-actress has refuted those claims, saying:
‘She has been very close to his family
throughout their relationship. ‘Any negative
rumours about Irina’s and Ronaldo’s family
are completely false and have not been a
factor in the cause of the split. Irina has no
comments at the moment.’ The pair dated
for five years, but the future of their
relationship was called into question when
Ronaldo failed to thank Irina at the event in
Zurich....

SHUN ELECTORAL VIOLENCE!!! Two People Reportedly Stabbed At APC Rally In Lagos
Scores of supporters at an All Progressives
Congress rally in the Oworonshoki area of
Lagos State on Monday fled as thugs invaded
the rally, stabbing two youths in the process.

WAPBAZE learnt that the violence was
caused by a supremacy battle between two
rival cults based in the Bariga area of the
state.
A correspondent, who witnessed the
incident, observed that policemen folded their
arms as the thugs unleashed mayhem.
Journalists, who were covering the event,
clustered on the platform to avoid being
caught in the crossfire.
The thugs did not seem disturbed as the
violence continued even while Governor
Babatunde Fashola was delivering a speech
alongside leaders of the APC in the Kosofe
Local Government Area of the state.
One of the youths that was attacked
attempted to escape, but he was surrounded
by assailants and stabbed with a knife and
hacked with a cutlass.
As the victim still struggled to escape, he was
pushed to the floor and trampled upon by
the suspected cult members.
It was observed that after stabbing the two
youths, the thugs who thought they were
dead fled the scene.
Minutes later, however, policemen and
officials of the Lagos State Traffic
Management Authority were able to revive
the injured youths who were rushed to a
nearby hospital.
It was noted that after the fighting had ended,
some supporters still refused to return to the
campaign ground.

"
If somebody becomes so rich, if
what he is having that made him to
be rich is not from people’s hearts -
it’s by corruption or bribery - you will
cry for the person someday. If
people that are collecting bribes
know all of this, they will stop
collecting bribes.
The repercussions are not midway.
They come at the end when we
have no strength again to do the
right thing. The money, mansions
and possessions will collapse… The
beginner is not the owner but the
finisher. Whatever you do –
remember where you are going.
If you collect a bribe, you can’t get
anywhere with it. You may be rich
now but at the end of your life, you
will cry. Let me suffer now and
laugh tomorrow. Let me be poor
now and blessed tomorrow. That
should be the life we live,” he
added.
T B Joshua further decried politicians
trying to coerce love from people,
especially during the period of
elections. After which he
challenged his congregants to
examine their lives and help the
less privileged in their own area in
order to enjoy the blessings of God.

Buhari Overthrew Shagari Over $2.8b Oil Scam: Tinubu Wants APC VP Slot – Ikimi
Buhari overthrew Shagari over $2.8b oil scam; Tinubu wants APC VP slot – Ikimi
By Wale Odunsi
Ex-Foreign Affairs Minister, Tom Ikimi has alleged that the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammdu Buhari, staged the 1983 coup that ousted the Shehu Shagari-led government because he was indicted by the Justice Ayo Irikefe panel that probed the missing 2.8 billion dollars oil money.
Ikimi, who stated this at the weekend during a rally organised by the Peoles Democratic Party (PDP) in his hometown, Igueben, Edo State, also accused Bola Tinubu of trying to impose a Muslim-Muslim government on Nigeria with himself as Vice-President, saying the nomination of Yemi Osinbajo was just a fluke, as the intention was still on course.
He said: “When you talk of corruption, you can only know someone who is corrupt by what appointment you give him.
“He was Minister of Petroleum and before 1993, they smuggled 2.8 billion dollars, which was in our MidWest Bank in England and put it in a notorious bank known as BCTI.
“By the time it was discovered, that money has yielded an interest of over 400 million dollars. Up till now, nobody knows where that interest money is.
“They instituted a panel headed by High Court Judge, Ayo Irikefe. The Irikefe panel came out with a White Paper that indicted this man; he quickly made a coup to bring down the government. That was the reason for the 1983 coup that brought down Shagari government
“Some even say they want to see the paper for the 20 million dollar. I want to see the paper for the 2.8 billion dollars for the 1983. Therefore, what is good for the goose is good for the gander
“They say Buhari is there because they claim he is Mr. Integrity. Is there any integrity without having any certificate, is there any integrity in not going to school, is there any integrity in lying about your qualification?

Campaigns Shouldn’t Be About Dead Leaders – Buhari
PRESIDENTIAL candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the February 14 election, Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has said that campaigns should focus on national issues and not on his state of health and dead Nigerian leaders.
Buhari’s advice came a day after some members of the Peoples Democratic Party raised doubts about his health status and after an advert by Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose warned Nigerians against voting for a 72-year-old man.
In the said advert, Fayose claimed that since three ex-leaders from the North-West had died in office, it would not be wise for Nigerians to vote for Buhari “because we are tired of state burials.”
Buhari, in a message on his official Twitter handle said, “How can his (President Goodluck Jonathan) campaign be talking about ex-dead leaders, jogging around the stadium and outright lies about health?”
Also, the Buhari Support Group Centre on Monday condemned what it described as an orchestrated campaign of calumny and character assassination directed at the APC candidate.
It specifically expressed displeasure with the Fayose’s advert, saying it was not decent.
“In line with the Abuja Accord signed by Gen. Buhari and President Jonathan, the advert in question is to say the least, in bad taste.
“Is it to say that our opponents have a death wish for our candidate? Political campaign should stick to issues and be decent,” the BSGC Director of Publicity, Chidia Maduekwe, said in a telephone interview with The PUNCH on Monday.
The Buhari Support Organisation, meanwhile, said it had started a sensitisation campaign to ensure full compliance with the no-violence accord signed by presidential candidates in the February 2015 general elections.
Several groups, under the aegis of BSO, urged politicians to adhere strictly to the letter and intent of the accord.
State coordinators of the various groups said this at a media briefing in Abuja on Monday.
Addressing state coordinators of the groups, in Abuja, on Monday, the Chief of Staff to Buhari, Col. Hameed Ali (retd.) said Nigerians had had enough of election related violence since 1956.
He said all hands must be on deck to stop reoccurrence.
“We must change the way the world sees us and this 2015 election offers the rare opportunity to showcase our desired new direction,” Ali said.
Also, a former acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Kawu Baraje, said the advert by Fayose was against the non-violence accord signed by all presidential candidates.
In a statement on Monday, Baraje, a chieftain of the APC, said the Fayose advert allegedly wished for the death of Buhari, who was military head of state between 1984 and 1985.
Baraje, a chieftain of the APC said that the advert credited to Fayose was capable of causing anarchy in the country.
He said, “One would have expected that at the second coming of Fayose as governor he would be more careful and have outgrown his alleged carelessness and irresponsible motor park attitude which is not expected of a governor.
“It is regrettable that barely a week after all political parties, the Independent National Electoral Commission and other stakeholders met to agree on conducting an issues-based and non-violent campaign, a senior member of PDP, who is meant to be the leader of an entire state, could stoop so low to wish death on anyone, not to talk of a presidential candidate.
“The failure of President Jonathan and the leadership of the PDP to distance itself from such comments and call Mr. Fayose to order is a direct indication that they are in support of Mr. Fayose making a mockery of the dead and trying to play God as only Allah is the one that knows the time of the passing of any individual.”
Meanwhile, Buhari, in continuation of his campaign on Monday, told the electorate to defend their votes in the February elections and give no room for any manipulation.
“Do not leave the polling units until the result is declared,” Buhari, who spoke in Minna, Niger State, said.
According to him, anything that may jeopardise the result of the election should not be allowed to take place.
“Where ever you are, defend your votes during the February elections,” he stressed.
The APC presidential candidate also assured the people of the state that he would provide enough electricity to enable businessmen and women to carry out their businesses in a well- dignified manner.
He said if voted he would improve the agricultural sector in Niger State, given the status of the state as one of the food baskets of the nation.
Speaking at the rally, APC National Leader and former governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu, said President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration had been characterised by lies, saying that was why the country could not move forward.
“Six years ago, he promised us that he we will step down and will not re-contest, but today the reverse is the case, putting the country into economic mess,” Tinubu said.
He urged the electorate to get their voter cards ready for the elections, saying the cards would bring development to the nation.
At the rally were chieftains of the APC nationwide, including the APC presidential running mate, Prof. Yemi Osinbanjo; Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi; and a former governor of Kwara State, Bukola Saraki.

Nigeria, Boko Haram Not Our Priority - Ex US Army Chief
The Executive Dean, College of Criminal Justice and Security at the University of Phoenix, Major Gen. James ‘Spider’ Marks, has said that the growing insecurity and pogrom in the North-eastern part of Nigeria is not a priority to the United States of America.
Marks, who retired after 30 years of service in the US Army, said this in an interview on CNN, which has since gone viral.
Responding to questions on why over 40 world leaders including about four million people took to the streets in France when 17 people were killed by terrorists recently, whereas during the same period, over 2,000 people were allegedly massacred in Baga, Borno State without any global outcry, the ex-military general maintained that Nigeria and the entire black Africa was not a priority for the US.
He explained: “The stack difference is that while world leaders are in complete solidarity and outrage against what happened in France vis-Ã -vis Nigeria. Truly, that should be surprising because what is happening in Nigeria is real madness, but it is not a priority.
“The United States can do anything it needs to do to rid Nigeria of Boko Haram, it could be a long-term effort, but it can be done. The US has the capability, we have all the elements and power, but it is not a priority.”
Continuing, he said: “This is the problem, we are committed elsewhere in the world, but black or Western Africa is not the priority. That is the case right now and it may be hard to say. Boko Haram is a regional issue.
“But if it appears in some other regions of the world, like white Africa, which is North Africa, or in the Middle East or somewhere else, we would be alarmed. But it is a regional issue.”
About 2,000 people were said to have been killed in Baga. However, the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) last week put the figure of those massacred at 150, while satellite images released by Amnesty International showed the large-scale destruction in the area.

Corruption: UK Police Arrive Nigeria Over Prosecution Of Ex Govs
Corruption: UK Police Arrive Nigeria Over Prosecution Of Ex Govs
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has invited the Metropolitan police of London to Nigeria (Metro Police) to assist in the investigation of present and former governors, senators and other public office holders who are involved in financial misappropriation, money laundering or any other financial crimes.
Revealing this to a team of selected journalists yesterday in Abuja, the chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Lamorde, stated that the commission is determined to rid the country of corruption which necessitated the invitation of the UK police.
Speaking further, Lamorde noted that the partnership between the two anti-crime agencies had begun a long time ago and has contributed to the successful arrest, prosecution and jailing of former Delta State governor, James Ibori among other suucessful stories.
Lamorde, who declared no hiding place for public office holders who are involved in corruption, also explained that Nigerians should not expect instant arrest as the investigation process would take a longer time to conclude.
Lamenting the inability of the commission to conclude some cases against former governors, ministers and other public officers, Lamorde noted that criminal justice system in the country is largely responsible as cases are always dragged on for years without judgement.
Also speaking to journalists at the event, the leader of the London Metropolitan Police, Detective Chief Inspector Jonathan Benton, said that they are in Nigeria to support the commission in fighting corruption.
He also noted that with the help of International Financial Centre, which is playing a major part in the partnership between the metropolitan police and the EFCC, the investigations will come out successful.

Jonathan, PDP Under Fire Over Buhari's ‘Death Threat’
There was outrage yesterday over an advertisement placed in some national newspapers in support of President Goodluck Jonathan’s re-election campaign.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on whose platform the president is contesting, was under fire over the advertisement placed by Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose.
The advertisement titled “Nigerians be warned”, quoted a Bible passage saying “I have set before thee life and death…”. It has photographs of the late Heads of State Gen. Murtala Muhammed, Gen. Sani Abacha, the late President Musa Yar’Adua – all of who died in office and the photo of Gen Buhari, “age 72 from NorthWest again”. “Will you allow history to repeat itself? Enough of state burials. Nigerians vote wisely. Vote Goodluck Jonathan. Northern presidency should wait till 2019,” it said.
The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) described the advertisement as “reckless”, adding that PDP leaders have turned themselves to God.
President of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON), the advertising regulatory body in Nigeria, Mr. Lolu Akinwunmi, described the advertisement as “unconventional, shocking and controversial”.
Gen. Buhari, on his tweeter handle thisIsBuhari, said: “How can his (Jonathan’s) campaign be talking about dead ex-leaders, jogging around the stadium and outright lies about my health?”
The All Progressives Congress (APC) described the advertisement as “choosing death for our candidate”.
The party accused the PDP of threatening Gen. Buhari’s life and paying lip service to the Abuja accord signed last week by the parties to ensure a violence-free election.
The Director of Media and Publicity of the Buhari campaign, Mallam Garba Shehu, said in a statement that “the PDP and its surrogates should be held responsible if anything happens to Gen. Buhari, before, during and after the elections”.
The APC Presidential Campaign Organisation advised President Jonathan and the PDP leadership to take charge of their campaign before their surrogates plunge Nigeria into confusion and anarchy.
It urged all APC members and millions of supporters of Gen. Buhari across the country to remain calm and not play into the hands of the PDP hatchet men to be provoked and thereby, giving them the much-needed excuse to abort this democracy before or after the elections.
Shehu said: ”This is the height of desperate tactics by the PDP, which is capable of degenerating into unnecessary bloodshed and destruction. They are choosing death for us. This is not politics. We are, therefore, asking our supporters to stay calm and be law-abiding.”
“Even as a candidate, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan has a duty to lead the country with responsibility up until May 29, when a new President will be inaugurated,” he said, adding that the on-going campaign on Gen. Buhari’s health, using forged medical reports, and now suggestions of death are reeking of plots to eliminate him (Buhari) before or after he wins.
The Organisation added that “the world is watching and that if anything happens to Gen. Muhammadu Buhari before, during or after the elections, under the pretext of X, Y or Z, we shall be left with no option than to conclude that the PDP and their surrogates are to be held accountable”.
“All APC members and millions of supporters of Gen. Buhari across the country should not play into the hands of the PDP hatchet men to be provoked and thereby, giving them the much-needed excuse to abort this democracy before or after the elections.”
The APC stressed that it is committed to the peace accord signed by political parties under the supervision of the former Secretary General of the United Nations, Dr. Kofi Annan and the former Secretary General of the Commonwealth, Chief Emeka Anyaoku.
It asked the police, the SSS, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the advertising regulatory agency in Nigeria (APCON) to do their jobs by not allowing these dangerous threats to democracy go unchecked.
“Once again, the APC campaign advises all its supporters to strive to stay above the ‘rofo-rofo’, which is clearly designed to provoke our supporters to help the PDP’s sinister agenda to abort this hard fought for democracy in view of their impending defeat in the forthcoming general elections,” Shehu said.
The APC Campaign said petitions were being sent to APCON, INEC, DSS, the Police and concerned newspapers involved “to protest this malicious death wish”.
Also yesterday, Baraje, a one-time national chair of the PDP, now a member of the campaign council of the Buhari/Osinbajo Campaign Organisation, condemned in strong terms and in its entirety the advertisement.
He described it as “high sense of irresponsibility and an insensible act.”
Baraje said the advertisement was “not only reckless, uncalled for, but a type that can cause anarchy and crisis in the country.”
He expressed surprise that the publication by Fayose came a few days after President Jonathan, Gen Buhari and other presidential candidates signed a non-violence agreement for peaceful elections next month.
Baraje said: “There is a limit to the tolerance of well-meaningful Nigerians to such inflammatory statements such as that of Governor Fayose. This shows the extent of the desperation of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party.”
He drew the attention of Nigerians and INEC to the inciting statement credited to Fayose, asking them to call the governor to order.
Baraje said: “Such a statement apart from having the tendency to cause anarchy and acrimony, the PDP seems to be preparing grounds for violence a few days to the general elections
“Fayose should not dare God by asking Nigerians to chose between life and death which made him to refer to General Buhari, the APC presidential candidate in a news and pictorial advertisement sponsored in front page of a national daily as a dead man due to his age.
”With the statement credited to the Ekiti State Governor and the statement by the PDP Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu that the PDP is a party of injustice and a party that lacks equity where monkey dey work baboon dey chop, the present leaders of the APC have been vindicated by their move to leave the PDP enmasse and defect to the APC.”
He warned the leadership of the PDP against bringing such injustice to the nation.
“Nigerians should be patient and not take the laws into their hands because the ruling party (PDP) is already jittery about the impending outcome of the forthcoming elections which is already favouring the APC considering the massive support the APC has been receiving from all campaigns they have embarked upon,” he cautioned.
Baraje drew the attention of the Inspector-General of Police, the INEC Chairman, DSS and other security agencies to the inflammatory statements originating from the PDP and its candidates particularly Governor Fayose.
He urged the security agencies to “do something urgently so as not to cause crisis in the country.”

Photo: Father who Held a Torch between his Teeth Suffers Horrific Burns after it Explodes
A lot of us do this, guys. That's mainly why I'm posting this story. This man pictured above from Colorado was severely burned after a flashlight exploded as he held it in his mouth.
Christopher Reid Carrington was busy using his hands to look for tools in the back of his truck. Within an instant, the flashlight exploded leaving him unable to speak as blood gushed from his mouth. Fortunately, his seven-year-old son was able to call 911.
Mr Carrington was rushed to the University of Colorado Hospital's Intensive Care Burn Unit where
he was treated for third-degree burns to his lip, tongue and throat.
He had to spend four days in hospital with a tube down his throat in order for him to breathe.
Doctors, according to DM, say Mr Carrington could lose his sense of taste and his vocal cords may be permanently damaged as a result of the incident. The burns are expected to heal within four weeks.
Mr Carrington says he doesn't understand why the flashlight exploded. Engineers are now looking at the flashlight to try and uncover what caused the decide to blow up.
Photos: Step-mother Screams her Innocence before being Beheaded for Murdering and Sexually Abusing Daughter
A woman beheaded in a Saudi street for killing her husband's six-year-old daughter screamed her innocence in a graphic footage of the execution uploaded to the Internet.
According to DailyMail, an executioner in Mecca, the holy city, took two swings to hack off Layla bint Abdul Mutaleb Bassim's head, after she was found guilty of beating the girl and raping her with a broomstick.
The incident has sparked outrage in the country, but not because of the brutal punishment meted out. Saudis are up in arms that the execution was filmed and posted online, where the woman's family
might see it. Now Saudi authorities have arrested someone for filming the execution, local media reports. But it was not clear what crime he has been arrested for.
The video of Bassim's execution shows how she begged for her life, protesting her innocence right up until the executioner dealt his first blow.
'I did not kill. There is no God but God. I did not kill,' cries Bassim, who is dressed entirely in black and is kneeling on the pavement circled by police officers.
'Haram. Haram. Haram. Haram. I did not kill ... I do not forgive you ... This is an injustice,' she screams in the video, which was posted online on Saturday.
The executioner, dressed in a white robe, forces her to lie down on the ground.
'I did not,' she continues before a final scream as the executioner swings his curved sword into her neck. His first blow fails to sever Bassim's head entirely and he has to swing again before she is decapitated.
A voice then reads out her crime. It is a traditional execution for the kingdom, which carries out death sentences in public.
Many Twitter users protested the video being circulated on the internet because it could be seen by the woman’s family, but did not object to the beheading itself.
Bassim was one of 10 people beheaded In Saudi Arabia so far this year. Saudi Arabia executed 87 people last year, up from 78 in 2013. The kingdom had the third-highest number of recorded executions in 2013, behind Iran and Iraq, Amnesty International says.
The official Saudi Press Agency said last week that Bassim's execution came after she was found guilty of the rape and murder of Kalthoum bint Abdul Rahman bin Ghulam Gadir, her husband's daughter. 'Investigations led to her trial which proved she was guilty,' the interior ministry was quoted by SPA as saying.
A United Nations special rapporteur has said trials leading to the death penalty in Saudi Arabia are 'grossly unfair'.
Rape, murder, apostasy, armed robbery and drug trafficking are punishable by death in the oil-rich Gulf state.

Following an order by their pastor,
Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of
the Living Faith Church also known as
Winners Chapel, members of the church
stormed Sunday service with their
permanent voters card (PVC).
Oyedepo had during the church’s mid-week
service held at the church’s headquarters

was enough asked his congregants to pray
against violence before, during and after the
elections.
He prayed: “It shall be crisis-free, no
bloodletting and war…No angel of the devil
shall be elected into power at all levels…
Enough is enough!
“All perpetrators of war must go into silence.
No agent of the devil shall find its way. Every
seed of stagnation is declared broken.”

aspirants in the 2015 election, Goodluck
Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party,
PDP, and Muhammadu Buhari of the All
Progressives Congress, APC, were made to
sign an undertaking to avoid actions that
could endorse violence during and after the

Thugs Stab Two People at APC Rally
Scores of supporters at an All Progressives Congress rally in the Oworonshoki area of Lagos State on Monday fled as thugs invaded the rally, stabbing two youths in the process.
Punch learnt that the violence was caused by a supremacy battle between two rival cults based in the Bariga area of the state.
A correspondent of Punch, who witnessed the incident, observed that policemen folded their arms as the thugs unleashed mayhem.
Journalists, who were covering the event, clustered on the platform to avoid being caught in the crossfire.
The thugs did not seem disturbed as the violence continued even while Governor Babatunde Fashola was delivering a speech alongside leaders of the APC in the Kosofe Local Government Area of the state.
One of the youths that was attacked attempted to escape, but he was surrounded by assailants and stabbed with a knife and hacked with a cutlass.
As the victim still struggled to escape, he was pushed to the floor and trampled upon by the suspected cult members.
It was observed that after stabbing the two youths, the thugs who thought they were dead fled the scene.
Minutes later, however, policemen and officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority were able to revive the injured youths who were rushed to a nearby hospital.
A correspondent of Punch noted that after the fighting had ended, some supporters still refused to return to the campaign ground.
5 Irresistible Qualities Of A Woman Of God
Every man of God has certain qualities they find irresistible in a woman of God. Whether you are an unmarried man in need of discovering what you should look for in a wife, or a unmarried woman curious to know what qualities a man of God is searching for…this is for you!
1. A woman of God who values honor.
A woman who fearlessly honors others, values herself. To honor someone means to esteem them or show high respect. A woman who demonstrates this reveals her heart for people. Honoring up, down, and around is the rule to follow.
Honoring up means respecting those who are in authority over you, being able to accept their role and submit to their leadership. Honoring those below you includes those that look up to you, or work underneath you. Honoring those around you is respecting your friends, family, and colleagues. You know a woman who honors by the words she speaks to those closest to her. Finding the gold in someone is easy because they only desire to build that person up rather than tear them down. A woman who values honor adds value to everyone around her, which makes for an irresistible woman.
2. A woman of God who is interdependent.
A woman who is interdependent is not solely dependent on others, nor is she solely dependent on herself, but understands she needs others to thrive in life. When we come out of the womb, we are fully dependent on our parents, and the goal is learn how to do life
This quality is best seen in those that aren’t too prideful to ask for help or support, and are able to do the same for others. Every husband feels esteemed when their wives depend on them, but they treasure a woman they can depend on as well.
3. A woman of God who has identity.
A woman who knows who she is, and what her identity is in Christ will not be found falling into the traps set by the Enemy. When a woman’s identity is in Christ there are a myriad of things that will follow such as: confidence, consistency, resilience, humility, ability to change, and loving unconditionally.
When talking with my other male friends who are married and some still unmarried, they each said this was one of the most important qualities that drew them to their wives. This quality keeps you from competing, being jealous, or intimidated by others.
4. A woman of God who is a lover of God.
A woman who is a lover of God has not only found God, but has been found by God. She knows His heart, and He knows hers. This level of relationship requires grace, discipline, and sacrifice. When the bible says in John 14:23, “Anyone who loves me will obey my commands”, He is talking about lovers of God. A woman who loves God, bears the fruit of it by obeying Him. This quality is one that draws and keeps a genuine man of God. This was the quality I prayed for in my wife more than any other. I knew if she was a lover of God, then everything else would fall in line.
5. A woman of God who is holistically beautiful.
The term, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, is very true because everyone sees beauty differently. 1 Peter 3:3-5 eloquently states, “Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty that depends on fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. You should be known for the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.”
'Pastors Should Not Force Members To Give Offering'- T.B. Joshua
On Sunday 18th January 2015, Nigerian Pastor T.B. Joshua cautioned pastors against trying to compel people to give offerings in the church and politicians against trying to force people to love them through wild promises made during elections.
“It’s Scriptural to ask for offering and tithes but it has to come from the heart,” the cleric told his congregation in an impromptu message. “Anything that does not come from your heart becomes a curse to the person you give… We ministers of God should allow the congregation to bless us, not curse us with their possessions.”
He cited the case of people who attain wealth through bribery and corruption, insisting that the repercussions are severe. “If you collect a bribe, you can’t get anywhere with it. You may be rich now but at the end of your life, you will cry,” he admonished in a message televised live on Christian television station Emmanuel TV.
“Let me suffer now and laugh tomorrow. Let me be poor now and blessed tomorrow. That should be the life we live,” he added.
The known philanthropist counselled people to consider history to learn lessons from those in the past who lived big through corrupt means. “If somebody becomes so rich, if what he is having that made him to be rich is not from people’s hearts - it’s by corruption or bribery - you will cry for the person someday.”
“If people that are collecting bribes know all of this, they will stop collecting bribes,” he continued. “The repercussions are not midway. They come at the end when we have no strength again to do the right thing. The money, mansions and possessions will collapse… The beginner is not the owner but the finisher. Whatever you do – remember where you are going.”
He further decried politicians trying to coerce love from people, especially during the period of elections. “You can’t force someone to love you. In elections, you see political parties campaigning, saying they will build mansions, bring constant electricity and water… Love should be given voluntarily – without being forced.”
Joshua also spoke scathingly of pastors who always emphasized money in their sermons, to the point that they would even fight members who stopped paying tithes or attending services. “I did not know when you came here, so when you are going, it is unnecessary for me to know. You want to fight a member because he left your church. Whose church? God’s church. Christianity is a thing of the heart,” he said.
“If you give something from your heart, it will bless you that gives it and also bless the person you give. But if you give something that is not from your heart, you that gave has nothing to gain and you are giving a curse to that person,” he reiterated.
He then challenged the congregants to examine their lives. “Count how many curses you have received to build your mansions, have your possessions and enjoy your fame and popularity,” he told them.
The cleric revealed this is the reason behind his extensive philanthropic endeavours and non-emphasis on money during his sermons. “Why would I not give freely when I know if you give something from your heart, you will receive a double portion of it? That is the secret of giving.”
He advised the faithful to help the less privileged in their own area in order to enjoy the blessings of God. “Sell those properties and possessions you don’t use, open a charity account, put that money there, sit down and begin to bless the needy. See what God will do for you. The finger of God will stand to fight for you,” he advised.
He also encouraged Christians to remember they are undeserving of God’s blessings, an understanding that should reflect in their attitudes. “God is giving you another chance. Don’t abuse it,” he warned. “If you know that you are given another chance, you must treasure it. We treasure things when we know we are undeserving but today, we live as if we deserve things.”
He admonished people to remember that God would ultimately ‘mark their work’ “If you know you are undeserving of the life you are living now, whatever you attempt to do, after you finish doing it, you should wait and let God mark it. He may say it’s wrong; He may say it’s right. If God says it’s wrong, we shouldn’t lament because you live a life of grace.”
He reminded them that ‘God had the final say’. “You have been allowing challenges to destroy you instead of you to destroy challenges. When challenges come – my God has the final say, not my ability or knowledge.”
