Account For Your Role In Killing Of 300 Igbo People In 1969 â Fani-Kayode Tells Buhari.
Director of Media of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organisation (PDPPCO), Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has asked the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (retd) to account for his role in January 29, 1969 coup d ‘etat, during which about 300 Igbo people were slaughtered.
Fani-Kayode made the demand during a press conference he addressed in Umuahia, the Abia State capital, where he called on the South-East voters to shun the APC presidential candidate at the polls.
According to him, the role played in the massacre of defenceless Igbos by the army division in which Buhari served, was part of the questions that was to have been put to Buhari during the sitting of the Justice Chukwudufu Oputa-led panel which he shunned. However, he said it was important that Buhari addressed the issues now that he is seeking to become the president of the country.
“We attended caucus meetings with them and the questions that kept coming up on the issue of the presidential election centred on the role Buhari played in the very sad events of the night of January 29, 1966, when a coup d’état took place in our country, during which no fewer than 300 Igbo army officers, a sitting head of state, General Aguiyi-Ironsi and a serving governor of the old Western Region, Colonel Fajuyi, were killed in the most brutal fashion in less than 24 hours.
“It is important for us to look into this today, considering the fact that Buhari is aspiring to be the next president of Nigeria.
“The Nigerian people have a right to know the truth about Buhari’s role in the tragic events of that night, as they do not deserve to be kept in the dark. We deserve to know who did what, who to and how many times.
That is the message I got from most of the Igbo leaders I met on this tour and that is certainly the feeling of most Nigerians.
The days of feeding our people with half-truth and telling them not to discuss the ugly events of the past which were long over. It does not stop there.
“The other issues that were raised centred on the role Buhari allegedly played during the very tragic events in the core north in the mid 60s just before the Civil War, when no fewer than 100,000 innocent and defenceless Igbo civilians, mainly women and children, were killed within a period of three months by irate and armed local mobs.
“Many have asked and wondered whether it was true that Buhari was amongst those that covertly orchestrated and encouraged those killings, as well as supported the slaughter of those innocent and helpless citizens. We consider this issue most relevant today, because this same man, who some people have alleged was involved in this carnage and genocide, is desperate to become the next president of Nigeria.
“We give thanks to God that Igboland is now a vital and integral part of a united and indivisible Nigeria and that the pains of the Civil War are many years behind us, yet the wounds inflicted on our minds must be healed and completely too.
“This can only be done by the exposition and enunciation of truth and when those who committed the most heinous atrocities against innocent civilians, women and children, even many years ago, are brought to justice.
This can only be done after the souls of the innocents that were slaughtered are appeased by ensuring that anyone, no matter how highly placed, who committed or encouraged any crime against humanity at any point in time in our history against fellow Nigerians is brought to book.
“The best way to do this is not to dismiss these grave and serious questions, because this man was accused of participating in the terrible atrocities against the Igbo, both on January 29, 1966 and during the course of the massacre of innocent civilians in the North in September, October and November 1966.
“At this juncture, we must ask this painful, yet pertinent question: Is it true that the blood of the Igbo people ran up to the knees of Buhari on the night of July 29, 1966? This question, among others were put to Buhari during the sitting of the late Oputa-led panel in 2001 and instead of him answering them accordingly, for attendant matters to be settled once and for all and, if these allegations were indeed true, for him to ask for forgiveness, Buhari refused to turn up.
Instead of coming clean and making use of this historic opportunity to settle the matter once and for all and make peace, Buhari went to court to ask for an injunction to restrain the panel from compelling him to come and give answers.
“This is very unfortunate and it is nothing but a sad and graphic reflection of his unrepentant and vicious mindset.
Television Politics: Five Years After, DSTV Is Yet To Launch Igbo Channel
Sunday, March 08, 2015
Africa Magic Yoruba and Africa Magic Hausa launched on Monday 1st March 2010 the 24-hour channels available today. Africa Magic Hausa and Africa Magic Yoruba are available on channels 117 and 118 respectively.
There is no doubt that the country Nigeria is a very important market for Multichoice. Being Africa’s largest population and home to Nollywood, it not only offers most of the movies on Africa Magic, but also offers a ready consumer market for the direct-to-home digital satellite TV service called DStv.
The two factors that must have brought about Africa Magic Igbo would be demand and competition.
The Demand for igbo channel has led to accusation of tribalism on DSTV.
Africa Magic Igbo channel underway
From what we are gathering, TV network, Africa Magic on DSTv and Gotv is set to launch an Igbo channel. The station had been criticised for having Hausa and Yoruba channels, without an Igbo channel. But they had always responded that there are not enough content yet to start an Igbo station. It seems they now have the content they want and they are set to launch it soon.
Though none of their staff is ready to let the cat out of the bag yet, an insider confirmed that they have finally moved to end the complaints of what some see as marginalisation of Ndigbo. They will be introducing a channel for Igbo language in a matter of weeks. An inside source said that they might be waiting for the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA), which is holding today, to end before making the announcement.
African Magic entertainment bouquet now boasts of eight channels. While there are dedicated channels for Hausa and Yoruba films, there has been none for the Igbo, one of Nigeria’s three major ethnic groups.

This Man Proposed To His Girlfriend Every Single Day For A Year.
Talk about dedication! One seriously romantic guy with the name Dean Smith created a proposal video in which he repeatedly proposed to his girlfriend every day for an entire year. Read more from the Huffington Post:
It was last January when Smith said he realized he wanted to be with his girlfriend Jennifer Kessel forever. So he came up with a sweet plan to show his devotion.
For 365 consecutive days, he recorded a video of himself holding up a white board with a proposal message and the date, while going about various parts of his day — eating breakfast, working, hanging out with the dog, showering, brushing his teeth, etc.
“I knew that Jennifer was a fan of proposal videos on YouTube and would tear up at the sincerity and thoughtfulness of each proposal,” Smith told The Huffington Post. “She showed several of them to me, and I decided that I wanted to make her tear up to her own proposal.”
On January 8, 2015, Kessel’s 26th birthday, Smith unveiled the video during a family trip to Aruba. He had her family lead her down to a special chair on the beach where she was presented with the video. After it was over, Smith appeared next to her on the beach and got down on one knee in front of a group of onlookers to make it official.
“The thoughtfulness that went into making this video is truly beyond any words that I have,” Kessel told Huff Post Weddings. “When I turned around and saw Dean standing in front of me, we both broke down in tears.”
es, the video is long, but Smith’s enthusiasm makes it worth your while.

Explaining the incident, Ndukwe said: ’’I came back from work and saw people gathered in my compound and when I asked what happened, they narrated the incident to me. Since she left there has been noone around to take proper care of my children.”
The suspect is said to have been arrested by the Afikpo South Police Command.

Buhari and The First Lady ‘"Plaque"
Sponsored post..
Since 1957, when Nigerian Delegates sat to deliberate at the 1957 Constitutional Conference, there has always been the presence of women. Although Nigerian Politics have been dominated by men, women have somehow found ways to perform “office” functions.
The concept of having a First Lady in Nigeria could be rightly traced to the period of Lady Flora Lugard, the wife of Lord Frederick Lugard, first colonial Governor-General of Nigeria (the man, who
in 1914 unified the northern and southern protectorate of Nigeria into one country). It is to her credit that the country got her name, Nigeria.
With her 36 states, the Federal Capital Territory and 774 local government areas, Nigeria is believed to have over 800 women who enjoy this position of eminence as 'first among equals'.
Although there is no constitutional provision for the office of the first lady, material and personnel resources of the state are usually deployed to service it with impunity.
At Nigeria's independence, Mrs. Flora Azikiwe was known as Nigeria's First Lady and she frequently attended state functions with her husband. After her were a few First Ladies that are prominent despite the relative short time they spent in “office” (State house). One of them is Victoria Aguyi-Ironsi. Although, the succeeding government’s First Lady, Victoria Gowon, stayed in the State House for only eight years, her presence was equally felt in several public appearances.
When democracy returned in 1999, Stella Obasanjo, the First Lady of Nigeria’s former President Olusegun Obasanjo transformed the public view of her “office”. She began her shine, when she started several activism campaigns for release of her husband after he was imprisoned in 1995 for taking part in a coup to overthrow the government. Her activities spurred females to be strong and independent, and as such gathered wide support.
She once commented that even though her husband had made a commitment to improving living conditions in Nigeria, "things will continue to deteriorate in the country unless more women were allowed to participate in governance.” Considering, the impacts many of these “First Ladies”, it might be easy to assume that at least one political office holder is concerned about the welfare of the masses. If the Politicians don’t care, and their wives show half as much as is required, then fine.
But rights groups and journalists have continuously rejected this notions.
The All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate for 2015 in the forthcoming general election, General Mohammed Buhari has promised toshut down the office of the first lady describing it as illegal or unconstitutional, he noted that his wife will act as one who provides moral support for the government as a mother to all Nigerians without necessarily wearing the garb as a first lady or live a flamboyant lifestyle that first ladies are known for in Nigeria. The big question is whether or not Buhari can make good his promise to curtail the excesses of first ladies?
In the past, some first ladies wielded some powers and lived a larger than life lifestyle using tax payers’ money without accountability. Also notable is the antics of some first ladies to command and control some political powers by endorsing political candidates for election which usually will not allow for a level playing ground among contestants. These has degenerated a lot of crisis and interparty brouhaha.
In fact the latest trend is for first ladies to want to combine their unconstitutional role with elective offices or control the apparatus of political parties. A point in case, is that of the first lady of Kogi State Mrs. Farida Ijeoma Wada, the wife of the current governor of Kogi State who tried to use the position of her husband as a seating governor to grab a seat at the Federal house of representative in Abia state where she hails from under the People Democratic Party.
She tried everything within her power to grab the ticket of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to represent Ikwuano Umuahia Federal consitutency at the House Representative. Even when it was obvious that she could not win the primary election as she was not popular, she refused to step down like some other contestant and she was floored at the polls.
The big question therefore is, when and who will interpret the constitution to our politicians that there is no constitutional rule for the office for the first lady office but an aberration, a misuse of power and a waste of tax payment, the earlier this is resolved the better for the country as it will save the country several millions of Naira been allocated to the unconstitutional office which can now be redirected to more useful ventures that will benefit the citizenry and also help to make politics less attractive to politicians.
Although, some of these initiatives of these first ladies like the Women for change initiative of the current First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan has contributed to giving the women a voice. What seems to define the image of the office of the first lady are the excesses of some of its occupants.
It remains to be seen whether Buhari’s pledge to scrap the office would achieve positive strides for the womenfolk.
The Fine Boy Syndrome !!! Must Read
My good friend (Rukiyatu) is a confirmed sucker for fine boys but everyone was surprised at the man she ended up with-at the altar… Someone, she even confirmed is not a looker in anyway, yet he happens to be the only man (according to her)-who has been exceptionally good to her-since she began to date men. All her fine boys ‘parole’ ended in heart breaks. Her ‘tango’ with the man that turned out to be her husband was(however) not without some drawbacks because at some point…it looked like she could not get over her hang on fine boys but this man continued to win her heart with every attribute of a real man. She said that after taking a long look at him one day, she finally asked why you no manage fine small nah? everything for ‘gel’ sharp sharp-if to say you manage gather better looks…and I thought I was blunt.
I have interacted with a good number of male admirers over the years but the one that came very close to the qualities(substance and values) that I admire in a man actually has a slight physical deformity. Yet…that did not stop me from seeing his virtues.
If there is one lesson that life has consistently taught me, it’s the fact that our blessings will not always come in attractive packages.I took a hard look at the reality of my life so far and actually realized that the answers did not always come from the places I looked…they were usually from unexpected quarters but somehow, life connected the dots for me. Probably because I have learnt to hold my peace when I have given things my hardest push and nothing seems to budge.
Perhaps, you need to start looking at life from this angle the next time the other side of your wish stares you in the face instead…that could very well be where your answers are. Do not have your hope fixated on a particular spot, that you are unwilling to give things that are outside your expectation a chance…

APC, Buhari Should Withdraw From Presidential Race - Fayose
Another press release from Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose. See below...
"Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has
said that the All Progressives Congress (APC)
and its presidential candidate, Major General
Mohammadu Buhari (rtd) no longer have moral
rights to participate in the March 28
presidential election having lied to Nigerians on
several occasions. According to a press
statement issued in Ado-Ekiti by his Special
Assistant on Public Communications and New
Media, Lere Olayinka, the governor noted with
dismay the contemptuous manner in which the
APC and Buhari hold Nigeria and its people.
The governor, who vowed that Nigeria will never
be ruled by deceit, said; "In saner climes, you
can't lie and be discovered to have lied repeatedly
as done by the APC and still want to stand for
elections." He said; "The new deceit from the APC
is to use a photoshoped picture of Buhari for
posters in Lagos, making him look like a 50 year
old man, whereas he is as old as my mother and
cannot survive the rigours of office even as a
governor not to talk of President of Nigeria."
He noted that it was appalling that despite being
found to have lied on several occasions, the APC
has never deemed it necessary to apologise to
Nigerians for trying to deceive them. His words;
"First, the APC Vice Presidential candidate, Prof
Yemi Osinbajo, a supposed pastor posted picture
of Reinhard Bonke crusade on his Twitter Handle,
claiming that the picture was that of APC
campaign rally in Kano.
"Second, the APC claimed that Buhari made a
surprise visit to Chibok and went further to lie
that the people and parents of Chibok girls were
filled with hope and joy upon sighting Buhari and
his entourage, and escorted him into Chibok with
singing and dancing.
"Third, the APC cabal claimed that Buhari
travelled to the United Kingdom on a working visit
and used fake pictures to back up their lies that
Buhari met with ex-British Prime minister, Tony
Blair and had a television interview in London.
"Even when Buhari's wife admitted that her
husband was in the UK to rest, the APC cabal
went on with their lies, using pictures taken in
Transcorp Hilton, Abuja as proof of Buhari's
activities in London. "If a party and its candidate
could lie so brazenly as done by the APC and
Buhari, do they still have moral rights to want to
rule Nigeria?
"God forbid, can Buhari and his APC cabals that
are not truthful about their existence as human
beings be trusted to be truthful to Nigerians if
they take over power?"

Islamic State Conflict: 14 People Killed In Deadly Strike On Syria Refinery.
Not less than 14 people have been killed in a US-led coalition air strikes on an oil refinery in northern Syria run by Islamic State (IS), activists say. BBC reports:
Refinery workers and jihadist militants were among those who died in the raid on the facility outside Tal Abyad. One activist group posted a videopurportedly showing a fireball rising into the night sky after the attack.
Captured refineries and oil fields have played a key role in fuelling Islamic State’s advance across Syria and Iraq.
Last year, the group may have earned as much as $100m (£66m) from the sale of oil and oil products to local smugglers who, in turn, sell them to the Syrian government and merchants in neighbouring countries. However, US officials say the group’s ability to use oil as a source of revenue is now believed to be diminishing due to the air strikes.
The activist group Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently said aircraft had targeted a refinery near the village of al-Munbatih, near the Turkish border in Raqqa province, on Sunday night.
Solar Impulse Plane Begins Epic Global Flight From Abu Dhabi.
A record-breaking attempt to fly around the world via a solar-powered plane has got under way from Abu Dhabi. The aircraft – called Solar Impulse-2 – took off from the Emirate, heading east to Muscat in Oman. BBC was there:
Over the next five months, it will skip from continent to continent, crossing both the Pacific and Atlantic oceans in the process. Andre Borschberg was at the controls of the single-seater vehicle as it took off at 07:12 local time (03:12 GMT).
He will share the pilot duties in due course with fellow Swiss, Bertrand Piccard. The plan is stop off at various locations around the globe, to rest and to carry out maintenance, and also to spread a campaigning message about clean technologies.
Before taking off, Borschberg told BBC News: “I am confident we have a very special aeroplane, and it will have to be to get us across the big oceans.
“We may have to fly for five days and five nights to do that, and it will be a challenge.
“But we have the next two months, as we fly the legs to China, to train and prepare ourselves.”
Monday’s leg to Oman will cover about 400km and take an estimated 12 hours.
Details of the journey are being relayed on the internet.

Goodluck Jonathan Steering Nigeria With A Steady Hand - Washington Times
Nigeria has a date with destiny as
March 28 and April 11 draw near.
These are two significant dates that,
on one hand, present Nigerians
with an opportunity to strengthen
democracy through the ballot.
These dates, on the other hand, are
also beaming scaring danger
signals. No thanks to politicians
who are beating drums of war,
stumping across the country,
making campaign statements full of
fury, with little about issues of
concern to most Nigerians. As is
typical of Nigerian elections, the
tension is thick in the air, so much
so that the putrid smell of
Armageddon has enveloped the
country. Fears are palpable,
generating serious concerns among
Nigerians and within the
international community.
Nigeria has traveled this route
before, not once. There are
however reasons for genuine and
heightened concern this time. The
last few years have seen widening
cracks along the Nigeria’s well-
known fault lines of religion and
ethnicity. The security situation,
especially in the northeast, has
been a huge sore on the reputation
of the Africa’s most populous
country. The abduction of more
than 200 girls from the Borno State
community of Chibok nearly one
year ago, and the perceived lack of
enough effort from the government
of President Goodluck Jonathan to
ensure they are rescued, are
making the prospect of a peaceful
poll a tall dream.
President Jonathan has had to take
the blame for virtually everything
going wrong in Nigeria. Admittedly,
there are issues that currently feed
this perception. They include the
security situation, corruption and
poor living standards of most
Nigerians. Ordinarily, the buck
stops at the desk of the president.
The opposition seems to have
succeeded in creating the
impression that Mr. Jonathan
merely wakes up on daily basis and
does nothing. But things don’t
always seem as they look in Nigeria.
That the president has been doing
nothing would not pass the muster
of nonpartisan scrutiny. What
would be correct is that the
president has actually done little to
publicize the many things he has
been doing. In the last six years, the
government has been confronting
more fundamental issues of growth
and development with the type of
vigor and single-mindedness
uncommon in Nigeria.
The Jonathan administration would
trump any previous administration
in the effort made to tackle the
near-complete collapse of
infrastructure such as roads,
transportation and power supply.
The same can be said of
employment generation and
capacity development. Nigeria’s
economy has not only survived
major shake-ups affecting most
advanced economies, it has actually
also been growing in leaps and
bounds, emerging as Africa’s
largest.
He has perhaps taken an ingenious
route to fighting corruption. He
understands the difference
between the symptoms of
corruption and the underlying
causes. While many had expected a
frontal attack at the symptoms
through demonstrative — even if
unlawful — actions by deploying
anti-corruption forces in a frenzy of
mass arrests, media trials and
public sentencing of suspects, Mr.
Jonathan has chosen to allow the
justice system the space to work.
He hasn’t stopped at that. He is,
with the skill of a surgeon,
identifying the underlying causes of
corruption and taking them out one
after the other. This is what he did
with a fertilizer distribution scam,
which had hampered food
production and diversification
effort for decades. Perhaps, he did
not make enough noise on this, but
the result of his approach is loud
enough for the thousands of
Nigerian farmers who now have
easy access to fertilizer, completely
eliminating the meddlesome
middlemen. The action is equally
loud enough for the vested
interests to fight back and join the
now-profitable president-bashing
choir.
The security challenge is a bit more
complicated. Mr. Jonathan’s
emergence represented a paradigm
shift in the Nigerian political
arrangement. He was the first
person with no strong political
background or affiliation, and from
a minority tribe to become a
democratic president in Nigeria. He
had not benefited from any of the
important pillars of power such as
the support of a major ethnic
group. The template for success in
the Nigerian environment requires
much more than the timing of
response to a security situation,
such as the Chibok abduction saga.
It requires the willingness of the
players within the affected area to
put the safety of lives and
protection of properties of the
people ahead of their own
immediate political advantage. It is
not going to be easy trimming the
hair of someone who continues to
run. It could take time to either
catch up with him or get him to
willingly agree to the need to solve
a problem. The ability to keep calm
rather than adopt a knee-jerk and
high-handed approach in the face
of treachery and impunity is a great
asset the president is endowed
with. This, as the opposition is wont
to do, can also be mistaken for
weakness or incompetence.
Mr. Jonathan’s civilized approach to
tackling issues is built around the
need to ensure social justice, equity
and the rule of law. This should,
ordinarily, be worthy of global
acknowledgment and
commendation. But the concerted
noise from the opposition camp
and the penchant of some
international observers to rush to
judgment without taking full
account of peculiarities of an
environment are a bit deafening
and blinding to the reality on
ground.
As elections are getting closer, the
president is faced with the facts
that Nigerians are in a hurry.
They’ve waited for too long. This is a
situation that is being exploited by
opposition leaders, who have been
calling for mob actions as against
the rule of law. Mr. Jonathan has
equally shown that he understands
that Nigerians are expecting a
leader with a magic wand, who
could with a snap somewhere, turn
age-long and deeply rooted social
decay into an instant state of bliss.
But the magic wand could actually
be a possibility if current efforts are
allowed another four years to take
root, grow and bear fruits.

March 28 and April 11 draw near.
These are two significant dates that,
on one hand, present Nigerians
with an opportunity to strengthen
democracy through the ballot.
These dates, on the other hand, are
also beaming scaring danger
signals. No thanks to politicians
who are beating drums of war,
stumping across the country,
making campaign statements full of
fury, with little about issues of
concern to most Nigerians. As is
typical of Nigerian elections, the
tension is thick in the air, so much
so that the putrid smell of
Armageddon has enveloped the
country. Fears are palpable,
generating serious concerns among
Nigerians and within the
international community.
Nigeria has traveled this route
before, not once. There are
however reasons for genuine and
heightened concern this time. The
last few years have seen widening
cracks along the Nigeria’s well-
known fault lines of religion and
ethnicity. The security situation,
especially in the northeast, has
been a huge sore on the reputation
of the Africa’s most populous
country. The abduction of more
than 200 girls from the Borno State
community of Chibok nearly one
year ago, and the perceived lack of
enough effort from the government
of President Goodluck Jonathan to
ensure they are rescued, are
making the prospect of a peaceful
poll a tall dream.
President Jonathan has had to take
the blame for virtually everything
going wrong in Nigeria. Admittedly,
there are issues that currently feed
this perception. They include the
security situation, corruption and
poor living standards of most
Nigerians. Ordinarily, the buck
stops at the desk of the president.
The opposition seems to have
succeeded in creating the
impression that Mr. Jonathan
merely wakes up on daily basis and
does nothing. But things don’t
always seem as they look in Nigeria.

Nigeria Private Jet owners get 90 days ultimatum from FG
The Federal Ministry of Aviation has issued a 90 day ultimatum to private jet owners to streamline their operations with civil aviation regulations. This ultimatum was given yesterday Sunday March 8th at the conclusion of a meeting between the officials of the Ministry of Aviation and stakeholders in the General Aviation sector which includes all the owners and operators of private jets. The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Aviation, Alhaji Mohammed Abass, gave the ultimatum after the meeting at Abuja.
As part of the unanimous decision at the meeting, the blanket ban on operators of foreign registered privately operated aircraft in the country has been lifted with conditions attached.
In a statement issued by the NCAA’s spokesman Mr Fan Ndubuoke, the authority said;
"In furtherance of the Ministry of Aviation’s calculated efforts to streamline the operations of the Private Jets Owners, a 90 days ultimatum have been given to them to come up with their operational preference. As earlier indicated, the 90 days ultimatum is one of the conditions, during which it is expected that all operators would have regularise their documentation to specify their choice of operation. However, during this moratorium, it is still subsisting that no private Jet owner will be allowed to surreptitiously convert his Jet for commercial purposes.”
How To Quickly Write A Catchy CV (Picture)
Create clear and distinct sections that are well-defined so that once an employer picks up your CV, within 15 to 30 seconds, the message would be easily decipherable. This is what wins you a call-up for interview. By section, I mean:
• Professional/Profile/Career Summary
• Personal Detail/Bio-data (optional)
• Education
• Professional/Work Experience
• Accomplishments/Achievements
• Core/Key Skills/Competencies
• Training/Membership/Affiliation/Certification
• Referees (purely ‘Available on request’)
The arrangement is relative to the strength of each section. The inclusion of ‘Referees or References’, State of Origin, LGA, Religion, etc are now obsolete. Further more, your presentation must be catchy. You need power-words (word density) to give your CV a colourful and undeniable edge above several many others in the job market. If this is strictly adhered to, no employer will ever treat your CV with disdain again!

Zambian President Collapses During Womenâs Day Celebration.
Zambian President Edgar Lungu collapsed today while acknowledging a match past by Zambian women celebrating the International Women’s Day in Lusaka, the Zambian capital.
President Lungu was immediately rushed to a military hospital where he was diagnosed with Malaria and acute stress.
After being resuscitated, a visibly weak president Lungu took to the podium to tell the audience that he was unwell and urged Zambians not to panic.
Lungu came into power in January after president Michael Sata died in office in October 2014.
Read Bishop David Oyedepoâs Prophecy About 2015 Elections.
The President and Founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has said that in these last days, many nations who are currently facing economic woes will soon begin to merge with other nations for survival.
Speaking during the fourth service at Faith Tabernacle, the 50,000-seater capacity which serves as the headquarters of the church, also known as Winners’ Chapel, the faith preacher stunned members his followers Sunday March 8, 2015 when he declared that in the light of the current economic crunch happening all over the world, some nations will, out of frustration, practically beg other nations to absolve them, a situation he termed ‘divine judgment”.
He also assured Nigerians that the forthcoming general elections would be peaceful, urging that those who are currently relocating their family members abroad for fear of a breakdown of law and order, before, during and after the elections to desist from it: “What is happening on the earth today is divine judgment, but within that context, God has ordained an exemption programme for His children,” he thundered.
“We have never had crises all over the world like we’ve had in the last few years.
In those days, it used to be two nations fighting.
But these days, many nations are fighting at the same time,” he continued.
He posited that famine would soon wreak havoc in the world, forcing nations to mortgage their future.
“Now there is famine in diverse places…we will soon hear that nations are acquiring other nations; some will even sell themselves to other nations, begging them to allow them become states in their nations,” he noted.
The Omu-Aran born grandfather apostle, who is said to be the richest pastor in the world, however assured members that there is a way out of the ‘gross darkness’ that is engulfing the world.
Quoting the Bible book of Psalms 91, the Chancellor of Covenant University, one of the ministry’s private varsities said, “But in all these, God has an exemption plan for His children.
The Bible says ‘A thousand shall fall at your side and ten thousand on the right hand, but it shall not come near you, because we are listed among the redeemed.
Judgment is coming down on the wicked but there shall no evil befall you.”
The 60-year-old pastor ended by assuring worshippers and Nigerians that the forthcoming general elections would be devoid of crises as anticipated in some quarters.
In a rather prophetic manner, he bellowed, “Watch it, concerning this nation, there’s a great future.
This election shall be peaceful; it will come to pass like a dream of the night.
Offices will not be shut down for a moment; it shall be peaceful, there will be order as ordained by God and we will celebrate at the end of the day,” he assured.
The pastor also had a word for politicians who rely so much on ‘godfatherism’: “There is no kingmaker on the earth; God is then only authentic kingmaker.
So He will ensure that His Will is established in Nigeria at all levels.
He will ensure there’s no war by installing only those who are righteous in power,” he told his congregation.

The GO and Founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo has spoken on the 2015 General Elections. Speaking during the fourth service at Faith Tabernacle, he declares that the elections will be peaceful, urging Nigerians that have relocated their families out of fear to not worry.

APC, Buhari should withdraw from presidential race - Fayose
Another press release from Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose. See below...
"Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has said that the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its presidential candidate, Major General Mohammadu Buhari (rtd) no longer have moral rights to participate in the March 28 presidential election having lied to Nigerians on several occasions. According to a press statement issued in Ado-Ekiti by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, the governor noted with dismay the contemptuous manner in which the APC and Buhari hold Nigeria and its people.
The governor, who vowed that Nigeria will never be ruled by deceit, said; "In saner climes, you can't lie and be discovered to have lied repeatedly as done by the APC and still want to stand for elections." He said; "The new deceit from the APC is to use a photoshoped picture of Buhari for posters in Lagos, making him look like a 50 year old man, whereas he is as old as my mother and cannot survive the rigours of office even as a governor not to talk of President of Nigeria."
He noted that it was appalling that despite being found to have lied on several occasions, the APC has never deemed it necessary to apologise to Nigerians for trying to deceive them. His words; "First, the APC Vice Presidential candidate, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, a supposed pastor posted picture of Reinhard Bonke crusade on his Twitter Handle, claiming that the picture was that of APC campaign rally in Kano.
"Second, the APC claimed that Buhari made a surprise visit to Chibok and went further to lie that the people and parents of Chibok girls were filled with hope and joy upon sighting Buhari and his entourage, and escorted him into Chibok with singing and dancing.
"Third, the APC cabal claimed that Buhari travelled to the United Kingdom on a working visit and used fake pictures to back up their lies that Buhari met with ex-British Prime minister, Tony Blair and had a television interview in London.
"Even when Buhari's wife admitted that her husband was in the UK to rest, the APC cabal went on with their lies, using pictures taken in Transcorp Hilton, Abuja as proof of Buhari's activities in London. "If a party and its candidate could lie so brazenly as done by the APC and Buhari, do they still have moral rights to want to rule Nigeria?
"God forbid, can Buhari and his APC cabals that are not truthful about their existence as human beings be trusted to be truthful to Nigerians if they take over power?"
