Selling your body is the cheapest way to make money- IK Ogbonna

Actor IK Ogbonna shares some wise words on instagram this afternoon...

"You have everything it takes to be successful. Selling ur body is the cheapest way out .. You make money but you are unfulfilled. Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing. "Prosperity is not just having things. It is the consciousness that attracts the things. Prosperity is a way of living and thinking, and not just having money or things. Poverty is a way of living and thinking, and not just a lack of money or things." Have a blessed week" - IK Ogbonna

Politics Of Oyo State: Why And How Ajimobi Won

As a rebuttal to this topic http://www.nairaland.com/2252397/oyo-state-governorship-result-majority that made frontpage this morning, I want you'll to know that majority of ajimobis supporters are not so vocal and aggressive. We are the so called elites/middle class.

Ajimobi as a governor never transacted with thugs and riff raffs right from the inception of his government which has been the characteristics of previous governments. That's why he has been able to quell the notorious security situation of the state which was very prominent in the days of Adedibu and PDP.

Previous governors were just political jobbers who depended on "sharing" the money and sponsoring political thugs throughout their tenure without achieving anything tangible.

This is where the "Ajimobi's" difference comes into play. We the middle class/elites have enjoyed maximum peace and relative infrastructural development which has been the hallmark of his administration. We definitely won't be able to benefit from the "share the money syndrome" because we are mostly reserved and law abiding people with high moral values.

It can also be deduced from the final results collated that instead of the popular opposition parties to bury their pride and form an alliance, they instead succeeded in sharing their votes amongst each other, thereby making a headway for the APC candidate.

I hereby reiterate that those that are complaining about Ajimobi's win are the local thugs and riff raffs who has been used to the "share the money syndrome" and have benefited financially from public disruptions and toutish tendencies from previous administrations. They are obviously more vocal and aggressive in displaying their discontentment.

We need peace and progress in Oyo State. Thanks

Sleeping Over at His Place: Must Read

There is this confusing signal that ladies emit-almost to the point of hypocrisy. How can a lady take herself to a full red blooded man’s house, as if that is not ‘risky’ enough-she not only passes the night in his house but actually lies on the same bed with him and when he attempts touching her…she tells him NO SEX. Are you for real?

A decent man shouldn’t ask you to come pass the night immediately he meets you, he takes you out on dinner/lunch dates, the beach, cinemas, sightseeing etc. and builds a relationship with you first. A man’s house is not the appropriate place for a date (unless the two of you are deceiving yourselves). Let him take you on a proper date and after wards…GO HOME. Ladies, stop putting the cart before the horse when it comes to dating, except you are desperate and desperate acts are ‘bad news’ all over!

Most ladies can’t even realize when a man wants them for play and this is where it gets disappointing.

You shouldn’t have anything to do with a man who hasn’t taken the pains to date you properly…except you are playing with him too!!!

Congratulations to Tee Morgan who has become the first Nigerian to participate in one of the world's most grueling sporting challenges, the North Pole Marathon and not only participating but finishing the marathon. The Nigerian who proudly waved her flag at the end of the race was among the 45 competitors who entered the event on April 9th, with participants from different countries and races. The race is run on small, 2.62-mile loop about 10 times over hard snow or the frozen ice of the Arctic Ocean. Snipers were placed around the running circuit to protect the athletes from polar bears or other dangerous animals.

Jonathan’s Transition Committee Begins Sitting

The transition committee, set up by President Goodluck Jonathan, to facilitate smooth transition of power to the President-elect, Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), on May 29, started sitting on Monday.

THE PUNCH had reported exclusively last Wednesday that Vice President Namadi Sambo might head the committee.

Although no formal statement had so far been issued by the Federal Government on the composition of the committee, Sambo presided over the meeting, an indication that he is the head of the team.

At the end of the meeting, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Pius Anyim, fielded questions from State House correspondents.

He said the committee met to discuss its terms of reference and develop guidelines for the preparation of handover notes.

“We met to discuss the terms of reference and develop the guidelines for preparing the handover briefs and the committee adjourned to April 20 for its second meeting,” he said.

Explaining the committee’s mode of operation, Anyim said it would first collect briefs from all Ministries, Departments and Agencies after which the data would be collated.

He said once that was concluded, the Sambo-led committee would then proceed to interface with the transition committee put in place by the President-elect.

The SGF explained that the interface would afford them the opportunity to offer clarifications and answer questions that might be raised by the Buhari’s committee.

“Ours is to collect our own hand over briefs, prepare the briefs and prepare the President handover notes.

“The terms of reference of our own committee is to collate relevant information for the handover briefs from all the MDAs, prepare them and interface with the incoming administration’s transition committee,” he explained.
