MI Abaga And Ice Prince Becomes The New CEO And VP Of Chocolate City Respectively

It’s been a long 10 years on the helm of affairs at the Chocolate City’s record label, CEO and co-founder, Audu Maikori has decided to step down for MI to take over.

Audu handed over the CEO role today, June 30, 2015.

MI is the new CEO while Ice Prince is the Vice President.

Audu shared the new on Twitter, read below: –

2015 Army Day celebration Commences Tomorrow, July 1

The Nigerian Army will mark the 2015 Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL 2015) between July 1 and July 6, 2015.

This is contained in a statement issued on Monday in Abuja by the Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Sani Usman.

Mr. Usman said the theme of this year’s Army Day celebration is: “Equipping the Nigerian Army to Enhance Operational Efficiency in Combating Threats to National Security”.

The activities to mark the NADCEL 2015 will kick off on Wednesday, July 1, with news briefing by the Chief of Army Staff, Kenneth Minimah, in Abuja.

It said there would be Juma’at prayers on Friday, July 3, at all the Nigerian Army formation headquarters nationwide; and inter-denominational Church service on Sunday, July 5, at all formations and units of the Army.

It also said that there would be two-day free medical services organised for the Internally Displaced Persons during the celebration.

It said the free medical services would be carried out by the Nigerian Army Medical Corps.

”There will also be wreath-laying ceremony at the Military Cemetery, and visit to hospital patients at the 7 Division Hospital and Medical Services.

”The grand finale of NADCEL 2015 will be Chief of Army Staff’s address to troops and decoration of troops with medals”, the statement added.

BREAKING: CBN Extends Deadline For BVN Verification

The Central Bank of Nigeria has extended the deadline for Bank Verification Number (BVN) registration, which is ongoing across the country, the News Agency of Nigeria is reporting.

The bank had earlier fixed Tuesday, June 30, as deadline for the exercise, warning that defaulters may not be able to access to their accounts from July 1.

As the deadline approached, millions of customers spent hours on long queues at banks across the country, struggling to have their data captured.

The CBN said on Tuesday that the exercise will now end on October 31, 2015, according to NAN.
