6 Reasons That Prevent Nigerian Ladies Above 30 From Getting Married

6 Reasons That Keep Nigerian Ladies Above 30yrs From Marrying. Please Avoid Them!

This is a Sista -to-Sista Talk. If you like take the advice or leave it, it won't change a thing. I listened, I found wink

1. Acting Immaturely: When you are above 30, you are not in the the same category with ladies below 27 anymore. Except you have things to show for your age such as solid career, fat bank account, strong investments, impressive academic accomplishment, etc the odds are stacked against you in competing with a younger lady. Men who will look for you are mostly men seeking for the above qualities and perhaps also some maturity. Therefore if you have none of the above and still behave like a teenager, you are going to stay in your papa's house for a longer time. Please be different and bring some maturity into your relationships to gain some advantage. Reduce your playing 'hard-to-get' games. If you see what you want, got for it, and nail it koi-koi! Shekina!

2. The Feminist Scare: African men are trying in their intellectual accomplishments, but honestly majority of them still don't accept feminism. At 30 +, a lady is most likely to have formed her core believes and ideologies. Unfortunately, most African men still can't draw any difference between an argumentative lady, a highly-opinionated lady and a feminist. They lump them all up together as feminists and hate them equally. Therefore, sista you will do yourself a favor to be less argumentative, be flexible in your opinions and reduce unnecessary negative energy that scare men away. African men are still scared of feminists. One day they will get there, but for now sheath your sword!

3. Talking About Your Ex: Everyone knows that at 30+ plus you probably have had a couple of failed relationships. Please can you stop bringing them up in your current relationships? Stop talking about how one Ex loved you, cherished you, spoiled you with gifts, how the relationship was a bliss, etc. The bottom line is the Ex didn't marry you; he didn't find you good enough. He left you and married another lady. So stop praising him. It's foolish to hear some ladies say "he tells me he regretted not marrying me; wishes he can get a 2nd chance" .. undecided. Pleeaaasssee! that's an old trick for men who dumped you to get into your pants again as a side chick. Get real! he's someone's husband now.

4. Unnecessary Shakara: This one is a relationship blunder No.1 for ladies above 30. DON'T give a man any reason to believe he's only one of your options. What are you thinking? embarassed, What's the shakara for? You want to be married and you met a matured man who wants to marry without delay. You have tested him and he is good to go, then you begin shakara, like there's a long queue out there for you? Once you do that, then you give him reasons to check out other girls too. Relationships go south from there. Abeg, once he is inside your territory, lock the exit pam! grin.

5. "My Pastor Said..": Please leave your pastors and spiritual advisers out of your relationship. Pray to God for guidance. Nothing is as annoying as seeing a matured grown 30-something year old 'mama' going to ask her pastor to see if a man is her God-approved husband. Is your pastor God? How will he know? Pastors can counsel you and put you through marriages courses, educate you on how to be a better christian wife but not to choose a husband for you. Abeg! wise up.

6. Pay For Your Own Stuff And Be Content : At 30+ you should have your own things. Stop begging for money and gifts like you are still in school. That's for students. Stop fantasizing about celebrity cars, dresses, shoes, jewelries, houses, bling-bling like you are a teenager. It makes you look either too childish or like a cheap materialist. Serious men pay attention to all those clues. At 30+ you should have saved some money to buy things you want for yourself. But if for some reason you haven't, be modest and feel content with what you have.

I Pray May This Year Be Your Breakthrough Year On Marriage!

Genevieve Nnaji, P-square, Don Jazzy, Others Make Most Influential Igbo Personalities

Top Nigeria’s entertainers, Genevieve Nnaji, P-square and Don Jazzy have exclusively made the list of Most Influential Igbo Personalities, otherwise known as MIIP among other wave making celebrities in the showbiz industry who are of the Igbo origin.

The MIIIP book, in its 2014-2018 editions released early this year which encompasses Nigeria’s leaders, entrepreneurs, academics and other public figures listed Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji, music stars, P-square, Don Jazzy and Phyno on its entertainer’s category.

It includes the likes of Nkem Owoh, KCee, Flavour, Jim Iyke, Okey Bakassi, Naeto C, D’Prince, Patience Ozokwor, Charles Awurum, John Okafor, Stephanie Okereke-Idahosa, Rita Dominic, Chinedu Ikedieze, Osita Iheme, Saint Obi, Frank Edwards, J Martins, Basketmouth, Uche Ogbuagu, Ugo Stevenson, Amayo Uzo Philips, Andy Ike alongside others standing side-by-side in the book.

Explaining how they made it to the book, showbiz critic and publisher of Day-Light online newspaper, Azuh Amatus described them as prominent contributors of what the showbiz industry has become since its kick-off.

“The Igbo region is currently referred to as the entertainment capital of Nigeria. However, the success recorded in the Nigerian entertainment industry today was highly contributed by Igbo citizens; the industry wouldn’t have been complete without their immense contributions, giant strides and commitment. This is one of the reasons this book should be commended.

“In all spheres of human endeavours, they have touched the nation and those of them in the entertainment industry should be lauded and appreciated, therefore I strongly believe that this book represents what they have done and will continue to do for Igbo tribe and Nigeria in general,” he noted.

Writing a foreword on the rationale behind the book, the President of Editors’ Guild of Nigeria and Managing Director of the Sun Newspapers, Mr. Femi Adesina further hinted that “it is capsule biographies of not five, not ten, not twenty, but a whopping number of Igbo sons and daughters, who are torchbearers in society.”

“And don’t think it is only the old brigade that dominates the book. No, you don’t have to be a Methuselah before you can be a role model. You have them across all the ages. The young, the not so old, and the old. It is a medley that gives you a vivid picture of human society at any given times.

“Like the good scribe, who takes from both the old and the new, the book gives us a blend of Igbo stars across the generations. No doubt, the author has opened new frontiers in knowledge and information. After reading about those listed in this work, you have a feeling of having known them better. Igbo tribe has good reason to be proud of them.”

Furthermore, the author and one of the prime members of the editorial team, Ugochukwu Favour-Mayor stated that to celebrate their tribe, they have worked long and hard to put the book together.

Photos: GEJ's visit to former Head of State IBB in Minna yesterday

Pres. Jonathan yesterday paid another courtesy visit to former Military Head of State, Gen Ibrahim Babangida at his home in Minna. The President was in Niger state for his campaign rally. See more pics after the cut...

Remarks by Gen. IBB during the courtesy visit below as shared by Reuben Abati...

The Former Chairman who is now the Director-General of Namadi Sambo and Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Team, the deputy chairman, distinguished ladies and gentlemen. My Governor, the chief servant. Mr President, I want to thank you most sincerely for finding time amongst your crowded programme to pay me a visit.

I feel deeply touched Mr. President because on your own, you travelled to Germany to see me just coming out from hospital after a gruesome nine-hour operation on my back and tummy, I felt deeply touched by your kind presence. Then when I struggled and traveled back to Nigeria, you found time to also visit and see how I was doing. I thank you Mr President and I want to tell you that I appreciate that very kindness. You have also made a very good decision to visit me during your campaign tour because Minna is known for producing Presidents. Either from your name sake, Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe who was born in Zungeru, not very far away from here. Since then all the Presidents that this country has produced have got one thing or the other to do with Minna.

They do come to us for blessing and today I will offer this blessing to you. The house has played host to quite a number of activities in the past. When we were doing nocturnal activities to get PDP on track, we also played that role here in this house.. but we were doing it in the night because we didn't want to be caught.

Ahmadu Ali will also bear witness that this was so during the NRC and SDP days, so this is a peculiar and particular turf and myself and the family are very proud that we were able to play the little role we could in this.

I want to commend the party and the party leadership for being very strong and one of the good things that this party has done, Mr Chairman of the party, is that our vision about the formation of two parties is good for this country.

I have seen in PDP a party or organisation that is devoid of religion, ethnicity and so on and this is something we prayed for and you are showing the lead and I want that to continue. If others are breaking up, you must remain strong and I think that is how it should be. I'm glad you backed the President, back him strongly.

The passion which the President has got, I share a common passion with him. That passion is making sure that Nigeria stays peaceful, stable, developed and transformed. It is a passion in Mr President that anytime I see you, talk to you, I come out with the impression of a very young man who has passion for this country. I wish you well on this and I want to assure all of you that Nigeria under Jonathan, we are in safe hands. Once more Mr President, Mr Chairman, Mr Vice President, all the distinguished friends, I want to thank you for finding time to be with us. Thank you so much.

FG Denies Operating Excess Crude Account

The Federal Government yesterday told the Supreme Court that there was nothing like Excess Crude Account (ECA) in existence anywhere and challenged the 36 states challenging the legality of the alleged account to prove otherwise.

The case came up on Tuesday after several failed attempts for an out-of-court settlement between the warring parties. In the suit, the states are also challenging the transfer of $1 billion from the account to the Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF).

The court, presided by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, was forced to adjourn proceedings to March 19, 2015 after the court could not locate some of the processes filed by counsel to the 36 states of the federation, Yusuf Ali.

Although Ali had urged the court for a stand down to enable him trace the process at the registrar, he was overruled by the CJN who said the court had no luxury of time to grant such a request.

Earlier, counsel from the chambers of the Federal Attorney General, Mohammed Bello Adoke (SAN), Ahmed Abdulmalik informed the court that the alleged Excess Crude Account does not exist.

His words: “The plaintiffs are deceiving themselves. They are aware that there is nothing like ECA anywhere. As soon as any money comes from the account, it is channeled into the Federation Account and shared every month among the states.

“The Federal Government is at a loss as to how the states came up with their claim. The Federal Government is interested in proceeding with this case so that the states can tell the court where the ECA is domiciled. My lords, we are ready to tackle the plaintiffs in court.”

The CJN had earlier insisted that the matter should be settled amicably out of court by both parties saying there was nothing difficult to warrant the interpretation by the Supreme Court.

“If counsels are sincere with their clients, it’s a matter that should be resolved without the court’s intervention,” Justice Mohammed stated.

In the suit, the states stated that the conduct of the government of the federation and its officials was a violation of rule of law and a breach of the independence of the judiciary and constitutes a violation of the principles of rule of law handed down by the Supreme Court in the case of Governor of Lagos v Odumegwu Ojukwu (1986) pt 1 NSCC 304 and Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi v INEC (2008) 5 NWLR (pt 1080) 277.

In addition, they described the action of the Federal Government as executive lawlessness and impunity, saying the proposed disbursement of $1 billion by the Federal Government, its Minister of Finance and other officers would create a state of fait accompli and helplessness, if not stopped immediately

'Jonathan Is A Better Presidential Material Than Buhari' - Femi Aribisala

Between 1983 and 1985, Peter Onu of Nigeria was Acting Secretary-General of the OAU. At the 1985 Summit in Addis Ababa, statesmen like Julius Nyerere, President of Tanzania, lobbied for his election as substantive Secretary-General. However, there was a major stumbling block to Peter Onu’s candidature: his Head of State, Muhammadu Buhari, was campaigning against him.

Buhari claimed: “This generation of Nigerians and indeed future generations have no other country than Nigeria.” But when the crunch came, his allegiance to Nigeria disappeared. In the election of the OAU Secretary-General in 1985, Buhari voted against Nigeria and for Niger instead. He secured the election of Ide Oumarou, a Fulani man from Niger; as opposed to an Igbo man from Nigeria. By so doing, Buhari became the first and only Head of State in the history of modern international relations to vote against his country in favour of his tribe.

Years later, General Buhari marched all the way from Daura to Ibadan to demand of Oyo State Governor, Lam Adeshina: “Why are your people killing my people?” Again, he was not referring to Nigerians as his people. Instead, he was an advocate for the rights of murderous Fulani herdsmen who killed Yoruba farmers that objected to their cattle grazing on their land and damaging their crops. This same Buhari who voted against Nigeria in 1985, and said in 2003: “Muslims should only vote those who will promote Islam,” is now shopping for votes nationwide. He should be rejected outright.

Ignorance running riot

If APC had wanted to be taken seriously, it would have come up with a better presidential material than Buhari. There is something anomalous about a party whose mantra is change, recycling a 73 year old man as its candidate for the president of modern Nigeria. Buhari has little or no understanding of public policy. That is why APC will always come up with some excuse or the other not to have him participate in a debate with Jonathan. Buhari fought corruption by imposing ridiculous 300-year sentences on offenders. He fought exam malpractices by imposing 24-year prison sentences on school children.

He dealt with indiscipline by flogging people to queue at bus-stops. He dealt with food shortages by sending soldiers to break into private warehouses and shops. He fought trade imbalances by taking Nigeria back to the stone age of trade by barter (counter-trade). He sought to extradite a Nigerian from Britain by drugging and crating him.

There is so much about Buhari ending the Boko Haram insurgency as he did the Maitatsine insurgency in the 1980s. But the General needs to be advised that Boko Haram is not Maitatsine. Maitatsine was in two towns: Boko Haram is in three states with spillover effects into others. Maitatsine fought with bows and arrows: Boko Haram fights with sophisticated weapons. Maitatsine was a local insurgency, Boko Haram is an international phenomenon.

Anti-corruption hypocrisy: Buhari does not know what corruption means and how to fight it. He became Nigeria’s Head of State through the corruption of a coup d’état and he then tried to fight corruption with corruption. Imposing retroactive decrees and killing Nigerians under them is corruption. Putting an Igbo vice-president in Kirikiri, while placing the Fulani president under palatial house arrest, is corruption.

Detaining people like Michael Ajasin in jail, even after they were discharged and acquitted by kangaroo courts, is corruption. Jailing journalists for telling the truth is corruption. Putting pressure on a judge in order to jail Fela Anikulapo-Kuti is corruption. Shepherding 53 suitcases of contraband unchecked through Customs during a currency change exercise is corruption. Swearing an affidavit that your school-leaving certificate is with the military when it is not, is corruption.

Transforming Nigeria: Buhari’s shameful past is dwarfed by the achievements of Goodluck Jonathan. Under Jonathan, Nigeria has emerged as by far the largest economy in Africa with a GDP of $503 billion; nearly double the previous estimates. South Africa now comes a distant second with $350 billion. With the unbundling of PHCN after 52 years of gridlock, and with now the realizable target of 20,000 megawatts of electricity by 2020, Nigeria’s GDP will soon double that of South Africa.

CNN Money projects that the fastest growing economy in the world in 2015 will be China (7.3% growth rate); followed by Qatar (7.1%); and then followed by Nigeria (7%). This belies all the misinformation about the Nigerian economy dished out by the APC and attests to the astute management of the economy by the Jonathan administration. The seemingly ambitious Vision 20 2020, proclaimed under the Abacha regime to make Nigeria one of the 20 largest economies in the world by 2020 is now well in sight. Today, Nigeria is already the 23rd largest economy in the world. Kudos to Jonathan, we have overtaken such European countries as Austria and Belgium.

Life expectancy

In 2010, when Jonathan became acting president, life expectancy in Nigeria was 47 years. Today, it is 54 years; an improvement of seven years. Adroit application of SURE-P funds has reduced the maternal mortality ratio in Nigeria by 26%. Under Jonathan, Nigeria has become Guinea Worm-free; a disease previously affecting 800,000 Nigerians yearly. In the last six months, there has been no new case of polio in Nigeria. If this goes on for another two and a half years, Nigeria will be declared polio-free.

Bill Gates, the richest man in the world, hailed Nigeria’s fight against polio as one of the great world achievements of 2014. He said: “The infrastructure Nigeria has built to fight polio actually made it easier for them to swiftly contain Ebola. The fact that Nigeria is now Ebola-free is a great example of how doing the work to fight things like fighting polio also leaves countries better prepared to deal with outbreaks of other diseases.”

Investors’ haven: In the last three years, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) has ranked Nigeria as the number one country for foreign investments in Africa. We also receive more home-remittances than any other African country; a vote of confidence in our economy by Nigerians living abroad. They remitted $23 billion in 2013, a figure far more than the $18 billion received by Egypt; the country with the second highest home remittance in Africa. It is a testament to Goodluck Jonathan’s adroit management of the Nigerian economy that the richest African is now a Nigerian.

In 2010, when Jonathan came to power, Aliko Dangote was the 463rd richest man in the world, with a total fortune of $2.1 billion. Today, he is the 23rd richest man in the world, with a total fortune of $25 billion. Dangote’s billions are “made in Nigeria.” Indeed, under Jonathan, Nigeria now has the fourth highest rate of returns on investments in the world, according to UNCTAD.

Crisis of unemployment

The big challenge has to do with jobs. Every year, another 1.8 million people are offloaded into the job market. However, while the APC says Buhari will create 720,000 jobs a year if elected, Jonathan created 1.6 million jobs in 2013. He has established such innovative programmes as Nagropreneurs and YOUWIN that support young farmers and entrepreneurs with grants, training and mentorship. He has also instituted internship schemes to enhance the capacity of university graduates to secure gainful employment.

The unemployment problem is compounded by the more than doubling of the education budget under Jonathan. Every Nigerian child now has the opportunity to go to school. Indeed, there has been a 10 million increase in school enrolment in Nigeria under this government. There has also been a 75% increase in O’ Level credit pass in Maths and English. Jonathan established 125 Almajiri schools in 13 northern states. He also established 14 new federal universities. There is now a federal university in every state. Indeed, the kidnapping of the Chibok schoolgirls derives from the disenchantment of the Boko Haram that many Northern girls are now going to school.

Dealing with corruption: According to Transparency International, Nigeria has not become more corrupt under Goodluck Jonathan. Out of 178 countries ranked in 2010, Nigeria was the 134th most corrupt country. In 2014, Nigeria was ranked 136th. Unlike Buhari, Jonathan understands that corruption has to be attacked institutionally, from the roots. Therefore, he proposed the abrogation of the petroleum subsidy; one of the biggest avenues for corruption in government. However, Nigerians refused. Jonathan has sanitized the corruption in fertilizer distribution. The Minister of Agriculture, Akinwumi Adesina, lamented that between 1980 and 2010, Nigeria lost 776 billion naira to corrupt fertilizer racketeering.

Fertiliser racketeering

That effectively came to an end under Jonathan. Through the innovative e-wallet system, farmers are given cell-phones through which they now have direct and easy access to government-provided fertilizer, chemicals and seedlings. Jonathan has also sanitised the banking system by removing dinosaur managing directors, recovering indigent loans and using AMCON to mop up bad loans. By instituting e-payment systems, he sanitized the civil service by removing 50,000 ghost-workers in one fell swoop. He has equally got rid of ghost voters from the electoral register; over 1 million ghost voters were removed from the Zamfara INEC register alone. Under Jonathan, we have had free and fair elections one after the other; in Edo, Anambra, Ondo, Ekiti and Osun.

Agriculture has been transformed under this administration. Thanks to Jonathan, agriculture now accounts for 22% of Nigeria’s GDP, more than oil and gas which only account for 15.9%. Under Jonathan, Nigeria has recorded a more than 50% reduction in food imports. Prior to his presidency, we had a food import bill of 1.4 trillion naira. But now, it is less than N700 billion. With the innovation of dry season rice-farming, Nigeria has reached 60% self-sufficiency in rice production. According to the Food and Agricultural Organisation of the United Nations (FAO), Nigeria is now the largest producer of cassava in the world. The Jonathan government built six strategically-located perishable cargo airports in Ilorin, Jalingo, Jos, Lagos, Makurdi andYola; in close proximity to Nigeria’s food baskets.

It is remarkable that Northern farmers were able to donate five million tubers of yam in order to raise 5 billion naira for Buhari’s presidential election campaign. If Jonathan’s transformation agenda in agriculture was not working as planned, they would not have been able to do this.

Missing N30trillion: ''I Won’t Answer Soludo Again'' - Okonjo-Iweala

Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, on Tuesday said she would no longer reply the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Prof. Charles Soludo, over claims that that N30 trillion was stolen under her watch.

Okonjo-Iweala said this while responding to questions on a radio programme on Raypower. She, however, advised Nigerians not to be deceived by the misinformation by some politicians in the country.

When asked to comment on the alleged missing N30 trillion, the finance minister said:

“This is part of the packaged lies that Nigerians must avoid. I don’t want to enter into that debate, we have answered him (Soludo) and I don’t want to join issues with him because you don’t join issues when things don’t make any sense.”

VP Sambo's Speech About Christians And Muslims Triggers Numerous Angry Reactions

Below is a video of Sambo campaigning telling Northerners that Buhari is the only moslem in APC and rest are Christians

http://ift.tt/1KbdleQ

Video: Is this the lowest moment of the campaign season? Sambo campaigns against Christians in Niger State.

Even by Nigerian standards, it is not everyday that one sees a national politician openly campaign on the basis of religion and when he is being recorded and beamed live on television. It hardly ever happens.

But in the last three weeks, that has been the default rhetoric of Nigeria’s number two citizen, vice president Namadi Sambo.

In several states in the North, whenever the VP gets on the stage to speak, he talks about how he is a devout Muslim who has sponsored so many to Mecca. Recently, he has taken to telling his audience that whereas Buhari was the only major Muslim in the APC end, Pres. Jonathan is the only major Christian in the PDP side of things, which means that the PDP is the party that is most suited to cater to the needs of Northerners.

In the video below from the campaign of the PDP in Niger state today, the vice president, who spoke in Hausa, told the crowd that the APC’s national chairman, John Oyegun, is a Christian; its DG of the campaign, Rotimi Amaechi is also a Christian; and its running mate, Yemi Osinbajo is a pastor and Christian.

Truly amazing that the VP would try to win votes and incite the crowd using such rhetoric.

Source: Channels TV and Scoop

This strategy of using religion to divide people and get votes is not only ineffective, it is counterproductive and dangerous. PDP is telling Christians not to vote for Buhari because he is Muslim and APC is Muslim party. The same PDP is telling Muslims that APC is a Christian party and only Buhari is a Muslim in the party. This is unacceptable. That is why we must vote for change. PDP under Jonathan has polarized and divided Nigerians.

PDP more Muslim than APC, says VP Sambo

President Muhammed Namadi Sambo yesterday urged electorates not to be deceived by anyone in the name of religion to decide who to vote for in the upcoming general elections.

The vice President made the call in Minna during the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential campaign. He said his party has more Muslims in its leadership than the All Progressive Congress (APC).

He said “when people bring the issue of religion to deceive you, our party has more Muslims than APC. Therefore if this (is) the yardstick, we then have an edge.

"Our chairman is a Muslim; the Director General of our campaign is a Muslim likewise. I Namadina Namadina Sambo is a Muslim. It is only our presidential candidate that is a Christian.

"In APC, their chairman is a Christian, their Campaign Director General is a Christian and the Vice President is a Pastor. Now let me ask you, which between the parties has more Muslims?”

Sambo added that “Nigeria belongs to both Christians and Muslims. During Tafawa-Balewa, he worked with Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe a Christian, during Shagari he worked with Alex Ekweme, Obasanjo with Atiku, Late Umaru Yaradua with Dr. Goodluck Jonathan and now Goodluck with Namadi."

The Wonders Of Hell

The Wonders of Hell: A Short Story

The first time you heard about hell was when you were seven. Then, you were a naive, slender-looking boy - faultless. The Sunday school teacher, a heavy-bearded man in his early forties, painted hell as a very horrible place. He grimly told you that hell was a huge, blazing and unquenchable wild fire where sinners would everlastingly roast like cashew nuts when they died. He told you that hell was very hot and stark dark - darker than the back of your mother's pot. There will be gnashing of teeth and regrets, tortuous soldier ants and worms everywhere, your Sunday school teacher taught.

Your Sunday school teacher's teachings threatened the tots in the class on that memorable morning. Of course, it threatened you too. You didn't want to go to hell. You didn't want to roast like cashew nuts. You didn't want to live in stark darkness, like a bat, in afterlife. You hated hell and pledged to be good, to be kind to your fellow man. You wanted to make heaven, where you would wear white robes, walk on the streets of gold, play with lions, eat fresh fruits and fishes, and sing psalms to the Almighty forever and ever.

Seventy years ago, these were your wishes as a lad. But you died at seventy-seven, yesterday, and this is your first night in hell - the place that made you have sleepless night when you were seven. Still having a staunch belief about heaven, you struggled to be good in your youth. But you veered off in adulthood when the vicissitudes of life stormily confronted you. You compromised - compromise is the greatest weapon in politics, a game you mastered when you were yet alive and kicking.

The things that landed you in hell are many, very many. The newspapers and history books have them. You killed the innocent. You sent letter bombs to your political opponents. You embezzled monies that were budgeted for 'light', leaving your people in stark darkness. You rigged elections. You granted state pardon to criminals. You didn't pay salaries on time, leaving workers and their children to starve. You sent soldiers to battlefield with sticks and sentenced to death the ones who dared to protest. You falsified facts. Above all, you made too many promises that you didn't fulfil when you held public offices. Although you romanced clerics, they couldn't help you bribe your way into heaven.

On your first night in hell, you were impressed, very impressed because you discovered that hell was not exactly how your Sunday school teacher had painted it. You found out that hell, although a relatively unpleasant place, was not a burning fire, was not dark. There was, as a matter of fact, 'light' in hell. You saw unblinking, bright bulbs in the cramped room you were alloted. The room, painted red, had the breadth of a coffin and the length of a tunnel. The room looked strange but the bulbs consoled you. You loved it. You brought out the free phone you were given at the embassy of hell, plugged it to a squarish switch at a corner of your new room, thinking the light may go off any moment soon - the way it used to be in your country.

You found a little bed in the extreme of the weird room, on which you collapsed, and slept off. Your sleep was long and sound. There was no single mosquito bite - no mosquitoes in hell too?

In the morning, when you woke up, you found out that there was still 'light' in your little room. You also noticed that some demons had dropped a cup of milk and some loaves of bread on the small wooden table near your bed. You, very hungry, grabbed the loaves and gulped down the milk, free milk. Afterward, you stood up and stretched, ready to have your bath.

You undressed yourself and walked down to a door at the end of your room. There, you found a small, luxurious bathroom. You opened the shower; it vomitted water and you soaped yourself. You noticed, for the first time, that there was plenty water in hell. You felt relieved. You remembered the biblical parable of Lazarus and the rich man and wondered the part of hell the story took place. Perhaps the story was a myth, you thought.

You returned to your room and found your phone beeping. You picked it up and found a new text message. You opened it. It ran:

"Hello Chief Toga, welcome to hell. Hell is real. We believe you had a sound sleep. We've put everything in place to make you comfortable. Call 666 if you have any complain, but NEVER leave this room UNTIL you are told to do so. Best regards."

Toga, you jumped, excited, screaming as you read the text message. It lifted your soul. You have never imagined a hell where there was no torture, no worms, no fury fire. You have never imagined a hell where there was love, free milk, free food, free water, free phones and free 'light.' This hell was different, very different from the hell you made out of your country.

While you were still lost in the euphoria of the incredible hell you have found yourself, your phone rang, you picked and the voice sounded strangely familiar. It was the voice of your great grandmother. She died over a hundred years ago. She was a witch doctor.

"Hello, Toga, my great grandson. I heard you came in last night. Welcome to hell."

"Thank you," you answered, unsure of who the caller was.

"Who's this please? I don't think I know you."

There was silence, a still silence that was punctuated by deep howls. You thought the caller was a wolf.

"It's me. Mamee, your great grandmother. Welcome to hell. I heard you came in last night."

"Ah, Mamee, are you in hell too? You were surprised.

"Of course, where else do you expect me to be? There is 'light' in hell; at least it has not been interrupted in the past three hundred years. There was no 'light' in Nigeria when I died. Do you have constant 'light' now?"

"We don't."

"What about constant water?"

"We don't."

"Free and fair elections?"

"We don't."

"Good roads?"

"We don't"

"Security?"

"We don't."

"Does every citizen get a free milk every morning?"

"No ma'am."

"Unbelievable."

"These are some of the reasons I was condemned to hell."

"I don't understand. Did you squander the budget for these things?"

"Yes, mamee."

"You're a disgrace to the Kofata family. People like you do not deserve to be in hell. You deserve to be in a worse place."

You were stunned. "And where should that be?"

"Nigeria, of course. I'm dialing 666 already."

Jordan hangs two terrorists in retaliation for killing of pilot

Jordan announced early this morning that they have executed two Al-Qaeda terrorists in retaliation for the killing of their pilot, Moath al-Kasasbeh. The prisoners killed are; would-be al Qaeda suicide bomber Sajida al-Rishawi and Ziad al-Karbouli.

Al-Rishawi has been on death row for her role in a triple hotel bombing in the Jordanian capital Amman in 2005 that killed 57 people. She's the same person ISIS had asked to have in exchange for the release of Moath.

The killing of the two terrorists came just hours after ISIS released a video showing the gruesome killing of Moath, who was burned alive in cage. Jordan has promised more harsh punishments.
