Zahra Buhari's New Account on Twitter Is Fake, Guys

Why do I say so? I just took my time to go through the 3 official APC accounts that the new Zahra on Twitter is following and found out that NONE of them is following the new @ZarahBuhari back. At least as at this minute that I just made this post, none of them is following her. So, let's all be careful, guys.

The handler of the new account had accused the Peoples Democratic Party of hacking into Zahra's old Twitter account. Saying that the ruling party used somebody to gain an unlawful access into her

account to post a grammatical blunder aimed at embarrassing her. That she was shocked that the PDP could stoop so low to gain a political advantage.

New Facts Suggest President Jonathan’s Age Falsification

New facts emerging are putting into dispute the official age given by the President of Nigeria on his public service documents.

Accounts from the president himself and others who dare to provide information suggest that contrary to his stated age—being born on November 20, 1957; the president was born several, perhaps 10 years earlier and is over 60 years old.

President Jonathan said in 2011 while giving his Christmas Carol address:

“I remember the day I was chatting with a group of elders and they said after the war there was electricity everywhere, they travelled out and so on. I came to live in Port Harcourt in 1955. Even then, it was only Port Harcourt that had electricity, even the big cities, Bonny. But now, government must make sure even the smallest village and settlements have electricity light.”

See story here--> http://ift.tt/1yBDHOM on CP-Africa

.

By his own confessions/admission, the president is at least 60+ years old. His true age is unknown.

Goodluck Jonathan’s account not only shows that he was born before 1955, but that he had cognitive ability to recognize electricity and to recollect this recognition. This puts him at at least 5 years of age in 1955, by which time such intellectual ability is developed. Thus the president’s real age is no less than 63 years!

In the book, “World History” by William J. Duiker, a former United States Foreign Service officer and Professor of History at Penn State University; co-written by Jackson Joseph Spielvogel, an associate professor emeritus at Pennsylvania State University; Jonathan’s real date of birth is given as 1951.

The historians said on page 869 of “World History”;

“After Yar’Adua died from an illness in 2010, he was succeeded by his vice president Goodluck Jonathan (b. 1951).”

This date corresponds with the minimal age he could have been when he moved to Port Harcourt and observed the things he said he did.

It is a common civil servant practice in Nigeria of falsely reducing your age to enable you work and earn a salary from the Civil service past your actual retirement age.

This adds to a series of questions being asked about Nigeria’s president, including whether he actually completed his PhD as no written Thesis to support this claim is yet available in academic and public domain.

Buhari Planning To Smuggle Certificate To INEC Through Backdoor – PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organisation on Wednesday raised the alarm that the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, General Muhammadu Buhari, is trying to smuggle a newly acquired certificate into the Independent National Electoral Commission through the backdoor.

The PDPPCO declared that if INEC allows such a thing happen, it will put a serious question mark on its impartiality and credibility of the commission.

The Director of Media and Publicity of the PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, raised the alarm at a press conference in Abuja.

Fani-Kayode contended that if INEC has received the certificate of the APC presidential flag bearer, it would mean that it (the commission) has collected his newly-acquired certificate 40 days outside the stipulation of the law.

Chief Fani-Kayode, in the text of his address, titled: “Certificate Saga: Buhari Sinks Deeper With Lies,” said: “Yesterday (Tuesday), General Muhammadu Buhari made a shocking and belated disclosure that the Independent National Electoral Commission has his documents.

“He has not been specific about the documents he is referring to, but it is very clear that this is yet another squalid attempt to give the Nigerian people the impression that INEC has his certificate.

“If this is true, it represents a somersault from his original position which was that INEC has his affidavit and it once again reveals General Buhari for what he is.

“With this latest antic, General Buhari is obviously trying to smuggle a newly acquired certificate into INEC through the backdoor.

“If this is true and if INEC allows such a thing to happen, it would put a serious question mark on its impartiality and credibility.

“It would mean that it has collected his newly-acquired certificate, 40 days outside the stipulation of the Law.

“We say this because Section 31(3) of the Electoral Act says INEC shall within 7 days of the receipt of the receipt of the personal particulars of the candidate; publish same in the constituency….”

Chief Fani-Kayode maintained that INEC “must come clean on this matter; otherwise we will be compelled to pass a no-confidence vote in it”.

He added: “If INEC is complicit in the desperate and despicable attempt to extricate General Buhari, without compliance with the provisions of the law, from this lingering embarrassment, we will have no other choice than to harbour the suspicion and fear that the Electoral Body is already compromised and can lend itself to the ungodly agenda of truncating our victory when our candidate wins.”

Fani-Kayode appealed to the election observers to keep watch of the unfolding events regarding General Buhari’s qualification or otherwise.

The Director of Media and Publicity of the PDPPCO listed what he described as “facts already in the public domain which are incontrovertible” as:

*That Muhammadu Buhari (Not Mohammed Buhari) neither submitted nor attached any personal document to form CF001 he filled to INEC.

* That the INEC form part C specifically stated that PERSONAL (i.e Certificate) documents should be attached but Buhari did not attach any as of 18th December, 2014, the last day according to INEC guidelines for submission of form CF001.

* That Buhari was the only candidate whose documents were not published like other presidential candidates as stipulated by law, having not attached any certificate previously.

*. That INEC had acknowledged that fact after publication of particulars of all candidates last year and had not controverted these facts, having itself published the documents attached by all other candidates except Buhari who did not submit any document apart from INEC’s own CF001 form and an affidavit, a court document all of which do not represent PERSONAL DOCUMENT of Buhari.

*.That as at 12 midnight on 30th December, 2014, the expiration of time provided by law for the substitution of candidates, APC did not avail itself that opportunity of substituting the unqualified Buhari for a duly qualified presidential candidate.

*. That Buhari’s only response in his affidavit form in the public domain and displayed by INEC in the 774 LGAs that form the single constituency for presidential contestants was to the effect that “All my academic qualifications and certificates are currently with the secretary of the military Board as at the time of this affidavit dated 24/11/2014.” This affidavit, a very arrogant and whimsical response that his credentials were with the Military Authorities, is in the public domain. If Buhari’s assertion is true, the question is, what is INEC now up to collecting new documents from him through the backdoor, 40 days after the requirement of law?

*. That the military authorities came in the open to clarify that the only document in respect of Buhari’s WASC was an anticipatory letter by his principal that “Buhari would pass” – NOT THAT BUHARI PASSED.

*. That Buhari’s imperial response at a later press conference was that his alma mater, Government College Katsina, would publish his result when available. How come he now says that INEC has collected his document and why should INEC do so after the statutory time limit?

*. That what Government College Katsina published was at best a hand-written result of one MOHAMMED BUHARI and not MUHAMMADU BUHARI or at worse a complete forgery.

We Saw Helicopters Dropping Arms, Food For Boko Haram – Residents

We Saw Helicopters Dropping Arms, Food For Boko Haram – IDPs

— Jan 29, 2015

Displaced residents of Monguno, in Borno State, which was recently taken over by Boko Haram, have said they saw helicopters dropping arms and food items for the insurgents in the bushes.

The IDPs, who said they spent about 48 hours in the bush running towards Maiduguri, expressed worry that the Boko Haram sect was not the only ones involved in the insurgency, but that there are many foreign fighters and some external supports.

Leader of the Nigeria Vigilante Group in Monguno, Muhammed Sani,50, said he had, on several occasions, spotted unusual delivery of items in big wooden boxes by air, and sacks being dropped in the bushes around Marte and Monguno where Boko Haram terrorists were camped.

“Even during the attack on Monguno, there was an aircraft that came but did not do anything, not even dropping a single bomb before it left; then another one later came around the Monguno barracks and we saw four men alighting from the aircraft, using a rope. The aircraft left, but we doubt if they were soldiers.

“Even before then, some of my colleagues and I have been sighting helicopters dropping items in sacks and some in boxes to them at the camp of Boko Haram near Chikungudu and Kwalaram villages. Many helicopters came to drop items packed in boxes and sacks to the Boko Haram insurgents at a bush camp between Monguno and Marte; then we would see the Boko Haram gunmen rushing to the spot to pick the dropped items,” he stated.

The displaced vigilante officials said those that attacked Monguno comprised hundreds of foreigners who looked like Chadians.

“Many of them looked like Chadian Arabs – they were light-skinned with coiled hair, and there were many young men from Monguno – who Boko Haram had abducted when Nganzai was attacked last year – that were now active members of the sect.

“While Boko Haram members that are former youths of Monguno were leading other insurgents to attack Monguno town, the foreigners were the ones engaging soldiers near the barracks,” he explained.

Sani, who said he had lived in Monguno for the past 20 years, said he fled amidst the hail of bullets when the terrorists became irritated by his anti-bullet charms that rendered bullets ineffective. His shirt and trousers were riddled by bullets, yet he remained unhurt, he said.

Nairalander Narrates His Kidney Transplant And Recovery Experience (Must Read)

I woke up from my hostel bed February 2006 and was greeted with a swollen face and legs as well as fever, tiredness, lack of appetite and severe headache.

I went home and visited a doctor who conducted urinalysis protein 4+, serum creatinine 5, urea 60, doppler scan which showed that the both kidneys were getting weak. Doctor diagnosed chronic kidney failure. Met a nephrologist who told me I had high blood pressure 200/90, anaemia. So he initiated treatment with drugs but I was so ignorant of this killer ailment that I neglected my drugs and didn't bother watching what I consumed like, alcohol, cigarettes...

By September 2008, I was getting too weak, slim, pale, breathlessness, no urination. I travelled home and miraculously I didnt collapse on my journey because I was a dead man walking.

Finally, when I got home, I sat on a couch and collapsed. Well the next time I regained consciousness, I was told I had being in a 3-week coma. In fact I woke up hooked to a dialysis machine.

Doctor said I had stroke. I had up to a total 20 pints of blood transfusion, erythropoeitin injection three times weekly, iron sucrose, high bp drugs and the rest.

I was on dialysis for 6months, 3 times a week. Then it dawned on me that God given me a second chance to live. I started obeying all medical advice. Since I had stroke, I lost all my psychomotor skills. In short I had to restart life as a baby, I learnt how to move my body, eat, stand, walk, sit, talk, clench a fist. Then, within one month I was recovering with aid of physiotherapy.

January 2009, with the help of family, friends, well wishers. I was transfered to India, I had a kidney transplant April 2009, with mum as a donor. After the transplant I started feeling great. Haemoglobin was now normal, I started having normal urination, blood pressure now 120/70, infact if you had seen me before you wouldn't have recognised me again. I started living a normal life strictly according to medical advice which is to take immunosupresive drug for life.

Six years on I am still healthy, hale and hearty. I can't remember the last time I had malaria fever. Nigerian patients who did same surgery with me that same week, one died two years later, while the other had kidney rejection 3years later due to inconsistency in taking immunosuppresive drugs.

I give God thanks.

Bomb Explosion Destroys Ohanaeze Secretariat In Enugu

There is heightened tension in Enugu following a bomb explosion at the national headquarters of the apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, in the state.

A source told LEADERSHIP that the sad development, which occurred at No. 7 Park Avenue, G.R.A Enugu, destroyed parts of the building and some infrastructure.

It was further gathered that the explosion caused a fire outbreak but it was swiftly put out, and that the devastation affected parts of the main hall of the Ohanaeze secretariat where major meetings of the body are held.

Although no life was lost, close sources reported that the impact of the explosion shook the entire vicinity.

Many people have attributed the explosion to the recent leadership crisis which has pitched the Enwo Igariwey-led leadership against the Elders Council of Ohanaeze led by elder statesman, Mbazuluike Amaechi.

The group’s executive body is claiming a four-year tenure but the elders’ council has insisted that the exco’s two-year tenure expired on January 7 this year and has thus constituted a caretaker committee led by Chief Ralph Obioha.

Chief Obioha, who inspected the Ohanaeze main hall after the blast yesterday, described it as unfortunate.

But the public relations officer, Enugu State Police Command, Ebere Amaraizu, said that it was a bomb attack, but an attempt by unknown persons to burn down the Ohanaeze building.

He said police detectives were already searching for the perpetrators.

Explain The Source Of Your Terrorists Tapes; PDP Tells APC

ABUJA-NATIONAL leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has asked the opposition party, the All Progressives Congress, APC and its leadership to as a matter of urgency explain the source of tapes of terrorist attacks on innocent Nigerians in their possession, which they intend to air designed to achieve what it termed, their selfish purpose.

In a statement yesterday night by PDP National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, the PDP said, “Indeed, upon the release of the tapes, the APC must explain to Nigerians how it got hold of them. We ask, is the APC working in collaboration with terrorist cells, who have been unleashing violence against innocent citizens of our dear nation?

“Are these the same terrorist groups that earlier nominated the APC Presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari to represent them in the dialogue between them and the Federal Government?

“Nigerians should be worried over the connections the APC might have with insurgent groups especially coming on the heels of recent support expressed to their presidential candidate by the Movement For The Emancipation Of The Niger Delta (MEND).

“We wish to clarify that this is not an attack on the APC as a party but rather a serious issue that boarders on national security.

“We therefore call on all Nigerians and lovers of democracy to note this as the APC embarks on a campaign to attempt to gain directly from the security challenges facing our nation.”

Jonathan, Mark Disown ‘Liar’ Labaran Maku As PDP Vows To Ensure Ex-Minister Continues Failing For The Rest Of His Life.

A former Minister of Information, Mr. Labaran Maku, must have felt used and dumped on Tuesday as chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party, including its presidential candidate, President Goodluck Jonathan, whom he dutifully served as his administration’s mouthpiece, took turns to lambast him for defecting to the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).

The Director-General of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council, Sen. Ahmadu Ali, who opened the floodgate of disparaging words that were to come for Maku, described the ex-minister as a “dangerous boy”.

Ali, who stated this at the PDP presidential rally in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital, explained that the former minister had benefited from the PDP-led Federal Government only to defect to another party to realise his governorship ambition.

He said Maku’s action was capable of dividing the votes that could have been garnered by PDP candidates in Nasarawa State in the Feb. 14 and 28 general elections.

“We have a young man who from nowhere was a Deputy Governor of this state for four years, from nowhere he was made a Minister at the federal level for six years, decided to leave the party for another party and keep telling lies that by being in that party, he is helping us.

“He is only going there to reduce our votes. He is a dangerous boy.

“We must make sure that now that he has shown his colour, he will continue failing for the rest of his life unless he retraces his steps back to the elders like us and we will forgive him”.

Ali then urged the electorate in the state to vote for Jonathan and other candidates of the party at both federal and state levels.

In his remarks, the president also denied lending any form of support to Maku’s gubernatorial aspiration under the platform of APGA.

The ex-minister had in several public fora, claimed that his defection to APGA had the president’s blessing, who also allegedly promised to ensure his (Maku) victory.

But Jonathan said lending such a support to the former minister would amount to anti-party behaviour.

He, therefore, expressed his support for all the PDP candidates in the state in the Feb.14 and 28 general elections.

“We are told and everybody spoke about that the former Minister of Information that is in another party and saying that it is the President who asked him to go to another party. Definitely I cannot play anti-party.

“PDP is my party and all those who want to help us should come to PDP and work for PDP, so that PDP will be in control of Nasarawa State so that government of PDP in Nasarawa State and the Federal Government that will be in the hands of PDP can work together to move Nasarawa State forward”.

Also speaking, Senate President David Mark urged Maku to desist from dropping President Jonathan’s name in his quest to achieve his political ambition.

He advised the former minister to apologise to the PDP “if he is willing to return to the party”, saying that the PDP would whole heartedly accept him into its fold.

“People of Nasarawa State don’t be deceived by any ungrateful son of yours, who goes round saying he is in another political party because Mr President has put him there.

“That is absolute lie, you must never believe it. We said so few days ago and we are emphasising it again.

“And we want to emphasise it; (the) President is body and soul PDP.

“He can’t, therefore, put somebody in another political party to be campaigning on behalf of another political party.

“How can you be in APGA and be campaigning for the PDP presidential candidate?

“Return to PDP with apology because before we even take him he has to apologise to all the good people in PDP”.

PDP Will Build Additional 20,000km Tarred Roads, If Re-Elected – VP Sambo Speaks.

Vice-President Namadi Sambo said on Monday that the PDP-led Federal Government would construct additional 20,000 km of tarred roads in the next four years, if re-elected on Feb. 14.

Sambo, who stated this at the PDP presidential rally in Ilorin, said the government had successfully constructed about 20,000 km of tarred roads across the country in the past four years.

According to him, President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration has successfully transformed the nation’s economy, making it the best in Africa.

“Today, the opposition are talking about the economy, the economy already Mr President has transformed it. Today, Nigeria is the best economy in the African continent. It is not just by accident but the policies that Mr President has put in place and the actions he has taken.

“When we came in, the power generation in Nigeria was about 2,000 megawatts.

Today, I’m happy to inform you that we are generating over 4,500 megawatts in this country and we are moving forward.

Mr President has transformed the power sector.

“We have privatised the generation and distribution of power in Nigeria successfully, one of the best privatisation that has been carried out all over the world”.

According to Sambo, the ongoing transformation of the economy is not by accident but through well-designed strategies by the PDP-led administration in the country.

He, therefore, charged the people of Kwara to come out en mass and vote for Jonathan/Sambo ticket as well as other PDP candidates in the Feb. 14 and Feb. 28 general elections.

“The reform of the economy of Nigeria, as I said, was not by accident, it is by the experience, it is by planning and development that the President put in place under the Peoples Democratic Party.

“I’m therefore, calling on all of us here to send the message that Mr President is transforming Nigeria, is moving the economy of Nigeria already forward and that all of us from Feb. 14, 2015, we should vote for Mr President, vote for our senators and vote for our members of the House of Representatives.

“And the Feb. 28, we should vote for our governor and our members of the State Houses of Assembly”.

In his remark, Senate President David Mark said the electorate in the North Central zone of the country had already decided to vote for the Jonathan/Sambo ticket in the Feb. 14 presidential election.

Mark, who described the losing of Nasarawa to the opposition party in 2011 as “a mistake” on the part of the PDP, assured that Kwara and Nasarawa states would be brought back to the PDP in Feb. 28 governorship election.

“We want to say very emphatically in the North Central zone that we will vote massively for PDP, we will vote for you as President of this country.

“I want to assure you Mr President that the North Central zone will give the highest votes in 2015.

“We are going to vote massively for all our governors”.

'PDP Will Ensure Maku Fails For The Rest Of His Life' – Ahmadu Ali

The Director-General of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Presidential Campaign Council, Ahmadu Ali, on Tuesday said his party will make sure the former Information Minister, Labaran Maku, fails for the rest of his life for defecting to the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA,.

Mr. Ali said Mr. Maku is a “dangerous boy” who the PDP helped groom from nothing, adding that his defection will cause a reduction in the number of votes the PDP will garner in Nasarawa state.

The Director-General who stated this at the PDP presidential rally in Lafia, explained that the former minister benefited from the PDP-led Federal Government only to defect to another party.

We have a young man who from nowhere was a Deputy Governor of this state for four years, from nowhere he was made a Minister at the federal level for six years; he decided to leave the party for another party and keep telling lies that by being in that party, he is helping us.

However, the state Commissioner for Information,Mohammed Bulama, described the gunshots as “friendly.”

“It was not an attack on the governor. It was a friendly gunshot that was not directed at Gov. Shettima nor his convoy. The shots were fired into the air by soldiers who were hailing the governor for saluting their effort in repelling the insurgents.”

Boko Haram 'Bomb Maker' Arrested In Yobe

A man suspected to be behind the manufacture of explosives used in a series of Boko Haram suicide attacks has been arrested in North-East Nigeria, a senior police officer told AFP on Tuesday.

The man, identified only as Ba'na, was held in the Arikime area of Potiskum after several weeks of surveillance, said the officer, who was involved in the Sunday arrest.

Potiskum, the commercial capital of Yobe State, has been hit by a wave of bombings in recent months, including a suicide attack on a secondary school in November 10 in which 58 people were killed.

On January 18, at least four people died in an attack on a bus station, while the previous weekend, two women wearing suicide vests killed six people at a market and two died in a car bombing outside a police station.

The police officer, who asked not to be identified because he is not authorised to speak to the media, said Ba'na was in his mid-thirties and had admitted making the bombs.

"He confessed to being responsible for the manufacturing of the explosives used in at least three suicide attacks and the car explosion outside the divisional police station," he added.

Nine alleged accomplices were also arrested in a hideout in the town hours after Ba'na's arrest.

Ba'na allegedly made the explosives used in the November school attack, the January 10 car bombing and January 11 market blasts, the source said.

He was said to have moved to Potiskum from the state capital, Damaturu, three years ago and worked as a stonemason and water vendor before getting married.

"He was quite good at his disguise and his mason and water vending jobs gave him perfect cover," the officer said.

Women Should Not Be Allowed In Politics- Satguru Maharaj Ji

One Love Family has declared that it is a taboo for women to occupy leadership roles and should only play secondary roles in the society. According to him there are bound to be confusion and ineffective policy.

“Women must not lead. If a woman is a governor, what do you address her, ‘first man’, or ‘first lady man’. It is there in the Bible and Qu’ran. Even the Bible said, women must not lead in the church. They are to play secondary roles. Look at Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Coordinating Minister of the Economy, look at the policies being made.”

“In Liberia, there is confusion because a woman is the president. What do you expect? They may vie for other positions but governorship and presidency is a no-go area for women,” he told Tribune Newspaper.

RCCG: Mad Man Disrupts Church Service As Members Scamper For Safety

RCCG: Mad Man Puts Church In Commotion As

Members Scampered For Safety During Service

IT was pandemonium when a ‘mad man’ dressed

and swaddled in multi-coloured fabrics saun-tered

in the worship centre of Glory Chapel of the

Redeem-ed Christian Church of God, RCCG,

Agbelekale, Abule Egba, Lagos, last Sunday sending

choristers, members of the church scampering in

every direction seeking safe haven.

The middle-aged man bran-dishing a heavy stone in

his right hand and a tiny piece of freshly sawed

piece of wood from a nearby carpenter’s workshop

was said to have walked out of the church almost

immediately but made a return bid, this time with

ferocious campaign just as the parish pastor, Pastor

Ladi Akinsanya was telling the congregants about a

special guest minister.

The entry of the ‘mad man’ interrupted the

announcement as worshippers made for any and

every escape route out of the church. Sensing the

mood of the church, a middle-aged man simply

identified as Baba Dominion was said to have taken

a bold step and grabbed the ‘mad man’ from behind

creating an opportunity for another to disarm him.

Pastor Akinsanya intervened at this moment,

screaming; “Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord, Praise

the Lord” and “Amen, Amen, Amen” interm-ittently

obviously trying to calm down the congregation su-

ggesting that the “mad man”, as it turned out an

evangelical drama minister, was one of the special

guests expected to minister at the service.

It took quite a while for me-mbers of the church to

settle down to listen to the mini-stration of the

“mad man” who immediately capitalized on the

confusion to begin preaching, saying “all sins are

like mad men before God and just you all were

running from me, so God Almighty will detest all

sins including female who deliberately entice men

via the exposition of their bodies, on the last day.”

He stressed the need for all those who are called by

the name of Jesus to be prepared at all times, for

the trumpet might sound any moment, stressing

that only those who are blameless will be raptured

and will reign with the Lord.

After the ministration, the outgoing pastor in charge

of RCCG Place of Refuge Area, Pastor Kola Ajiboye

who had come to introduce his replace-ment,

Pastor Gbenga Adesan-ya to the congregation,

prayed for the members and called on them to

cooperate with his replacement, adding that it was

imperative for him to go so that Elisha would begin

his ministry.

Help!! He Is Addicted To Sleeping With Prostitutes

Compliment of the season fellow nairalander..

I will just go straight to the point. for some years now have been in bondage of sleeping around with prostitutes. I was expose to this very horrible life by a friend who lure me to barracks live.....

I initially thought it just a fun for the moment not until I found myself battling to let that life be past but instead it becomes part of me.....

Though for 3years now have been able to do without them simply because I have a girl friend..but ever since the girl leaves me it brings back my previous life. Though I tried as much to control my self by reading bible and listen to word of God that can at-large abstain me from this life. I tried on my own side as a human being but just of yesterday I still failed.

Please, how can I control my sex attitudes with ladies not only a prostitute but all the ladies for now. Because the way this thing is going it may probably destroys my life and I can't allowed to be castrated

Please pardon my spelling and grammatical arrangement of my words.

Soldiers "Mistakenly" Open Fire On Borno Governor’s Convoy

Troops in Maiduguri, Borno State, ‘mistakenly’ opened fire on the convoy of Governor Kashim Shettima as it approached a military garrison near the airport.

Shettima was on his way to visit soldiers, who were wounded in the simultenous Boko Haram attacks on Maiduguri, Monguno and Kodunga when the incident occurred on Monday.

Security sources, according to SaharaReporters, said the governor’s protocol unit was to blame for the incident as it failed to notify the military authorities about Shettima’s intention to visit the military facility on Monday evening.

An aide to the governor was quoted by the online news portal as having said that the governor, who was unharmed in the encounter, returned to his office unruffled.

The report however did not say if anyone in the convoy was hurt. It also was silent on whether or not Shettima’s security aides returned fired.

A Government House source however claimed that the governor’s convoy heard sporadic gunshots about one kilometre from the 33 Battalion and therefore made a U-turn.

He added that Shettima stopped his convoy at the 707 Housing Estate to calm tensions and debunk the rumours that the gunshots were by Boko Haram insurgents that were attacking people at Njimtilo.

Our correspondents could not get the spokesman for the 7th Div., Col S.K. Usman, to comment on the issue as calls to his mobile did not connect.

Attempts to also get the reaction of the Director of Press and Communication to the governor, Mallam Isa Gusau, were unsuccessful as of the time of filing this report.

Calls to his mobile indicated that it was either switched off or out of coverage area.

But the state Commissioner for Infromation, Mohammed Bulama, said what happened was a “friendly gunshot.”

“It was not an attack on the governor. It was a friendly gunshot that was not directed at Gov. Shettima nor his convoy. The shots were fired into the air by soldiers who were hailing the governor for saluting their effort in repelling the insurgents.”

Fleeing residents of Monguno on Tuesday told The PUNCH in Maiduguri, that corpses of people were decomposing on the streets of the captured town.

One of them, Babagana Modu, who arrived in Maiduguri on Monday evening, said, “The pathetic thing is that our dead family members are allowed to decompose on the streets without burial.

“The fools (insurgents) are treating us worse than an animal. Definitely, these people do not know any God.”

A woman, Yagana Mohammed, who lost her husband and two children to the attack, said she would have preferred to die too.

She said, “I would have liked to be killed with my dead husband rather than living with the memory of the day he was slaughtered. The matter is made worse by the fact that there would be no grave for me to show to my other surviving children.

“How will I explain to them when they grow up that their father and brothers were slaughtered and left to rot on the streets.”

The military is however still engaging the insurgents in a battle to reclaim the town.

It was gathered that more troops were deployed in the town with an instruction to chase the terrorists out .

“As I am speaking to you our men are still engaging the insurgents and hopefully they will push them back soon and allow the people of the town to return home,” a military source told The PUNCH.

Meanwhile, a suspected Boko Haram bomb maker has been arrested by security operatives in Potiskum, Yobe State. The man, identified simply as Ba’na, is suspected to be behind the fabrication of explosives used in a series of Boko Haram suicide attacks.

According to an Agence France Presse report on Tuesday, the suspect was arrested with nine accomplices.

“He confessed to being responsible for the manufacture of the explosives used in at least three suicide attacks and the car explosion outside the divisional police station,” a police officer told the AFP.

Ba’na was said to have moved to Potiskum from Damaturu three years ago and worked as a stonemason and water vendor before getting married.

“He was quite good at his disguise and his mason and water vending jobs gave him perfect cover,” the officer said.

But the spokesman for the Nigerian Police Force, Emmanuel Ojukwu, told the news agency that he did not have any information on the arrest.

Potiskum, the commercial capital of Yobe State, has been hit by a wave of bombings in recent months, including a suicide attack on a secondary school in November in which 58 people were killed.

S’ Africa flays its ex-soldiers’ involvement in terror war

Earlier on Tuesday, South Africa flayed the alleged involvement of its ex-soldiers in fight against Boko Haram.

“We always discourage South Africans from entering the fray in a situation like that,” the South African Minister of International Relations and Co-operation, Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, told journalists in Addis Ababa, ahead of the African Union summit.

“We’ve also read with dismay in the newspapers that there was such (in Nigeria),” the City Express quoted her as adding.

Another newspaper, Beeld newspaper, reported that a team of about 100 South African soldiers were in Nigeria – at the Federal Government’s request – to help train soldiers to hit back at Boko Haram.

The paper claimed that a member of the team said that their first task was to stop the terrorists’ bloody raids.

Nkoana-Mashabane did not want to talk about government or regional plans to intervene in the situation in Nigeria, but said these would be discussed during a meeting of the AU Peace and Security Council on Thursday.

The meeting is due to get feedback on the plans of the Economic Community of West African States and how the AU is set to support these.

Nkoana-Mashabane expressed concern that Boko Haram’s “tentacles” were also spreading to Nigeria’s neighbours .

But the Director Defence Information, Maj.Gen.Chris Olukolade, said that the country’s partners in the campaign against terrorism were known.

He said that the input of the partners was in the area of exchange of ideas.

Olukolade said that only Nigerian troops were deployed in the operation in all the fronts.

He said, “We have partners across the world, and they are known. Their input is in the area of exchange of ideas. Deployment all over Nigeria involves only Nigerian troops.”

A source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said it was absurd for the South African minister to go to the media to complain about the purported presence of South African ex-servicemen in the country.

He said, “The minister’s complaint in the media only showed the magnitude of conspiracy against the country within the African continent.

“Some of them cannot wait to see this country come down on its knees. God forbid it.

“Why should the South African minister be complaining if the plot is not to bring down the country. This is another indication of the conspiracy against the Nigerian state.

“It shows the wish of the South Africans for Nigeria. It also shows the extent of the conspiracy against Nigeria among African nations.”

Buhari Asks’ PDP Money Questions!

What have you done with oil money? Those are part of the questions the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari asked PDP yesterday while receiving a delegation of members of the Peoples Democratic Movement at his office in Abuja. Hear him;

“What you have said summarises the problems of this country. You have looked carefully and found out that this year, 2015, whichever way politicians and the elite look at it, is another time or watershed in our political system.

“If we get it wrong this time, and allow the PDP to go again for the next four years, this country is going to be in trouble. Right now, with the unfortunate event of crumbling oil price, the economy is really in a mess. Coupled with insecurity, it is only a country like Nigeria that can survive and get out of this situation we are in. A lot of countries will just disappear either from the map or from the political equation of nation states. But Nigerians are so resilient to the extent that there are international personalities who could not understand why Nigeria still exists.

“There was a former UN Secretary General who said that if he retires, he will go to Nigeria because, according to him, what is happening to Nigeria, no other country can go through it and survive.”

Buhari added, “The 16 years of the PDP has been hell. Remember that we use to have Nigeria Airways, Nigeria Railways, Nigeria Shipping Line. Try and find out how much we have spent on power in the last 16 years from the vast resources we accumulate over that period because the price of oil went up to 142 dollars per barrel.

“What did we do with that money? We said that we paid debts with billions of Naira. If that amount was put into infrastructure such as power, roads, railways, farming etc, the amount of job it will create would be enormous. Today, some of our youths have become danger to the society because of lack of jobs. I hope the elite will properly document these 16 years as presenting the worst leadership this country has ever witnessed.”
