The Imo State Police Command on Thursday said it had uncovered a bomb factory at Umuokirika village in Aboh-Mbaise Local Government Area of the state.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Andrew Enwerem, said this in a meeting with journalists in Owerri, the state capital.

Enwerem said acting on a tip-off, a team of policemen from the Command had raided the site of the factory in Umuokrika and arrested two members of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign States of Biafra suspected to be the brains behind the illegal factory.

One of the suspects found at the site of bomb factory gave his name as Love Davidson, a resident of Nguru in Aboh-Mbaise LGA of the state, while his accomplice is named Eze Charles from Nsukka in Enugu State. A third suspect is believed to be on the run.

Although Davidson, in whose residence the bomb factory was allegedly sited, denied ever being a part of the syndicate involved in the illegal manufacture of Improvised Explosive Devices, the Police recovered a drilling machine, gunpowder, tins of paint, threads, a bucket and a bore used as shrapnel from the suspects.

However, the head of the Bomb Squad at the Command, Omowaye Timothy, has since identified the items as components used in making IEDs earlier found in some parts of the state a few months ago.

APC Lied! I Am Still In PDP — Gulak

Immediate Political Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan, Alhaji Ahmed Gulak, has denied defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Gulak, who was reported to have openly decamped to APC on Wednesday along with other PDP chieftains in Yola, told Vanguard in Abuja on Thursday that he was not present at the venue of the ceremony and that his name was fraudulently used to score cheap political points.

“I want to say that I will remain a staunch PDP member despite the loss of the presidential election by our great party. Rather than defect to the APC, I will stay in the party and join forces with like-minded Nigerians to make the PDP to bounce back in the years to come,” Gulak said.

Ladies, If Your Man Slapped You During Courtship, Would You Continue?

That's the present dilemma my female friend has found herself. She just couldn't believe her fiancee, whom she loves so much, could lay his hands on her. Unfortunately, it's happened!

Immediately I got a call from her last weekend, I could feel some pain in her voice. We met in a popular eatery, with tears in her eyes, she let out her disappointment and frustration. They've been courting over 4 months- having been mere friends over 5 years.

They had an argument. It got heated up. Words were spilled from both ends, and a slap from the guy brought her back to realityr she had just received a slap from the man she might end up getting married to. I tried to calm her down. Both of them are my friends!

Women can really weep, especially when someone whom they deeply love treats them poorly; they have containers of tears behind those two sockets at their foreheads! They are a very emotional and sensitive people; too precious and tender!

She sought my advice. I simply ask her if that was the first. She reluctantly said NO; the guy has slapped her twice before this recent one. I didn't want to be responsible for the breakup of an intending couple. And I don't also believe that, even in the face of verifiable, unbearable character defects, one should jump into a marriage with the hope of changing their spouses...you may just have inherited a prayer and fasting ministry! !!!

I advised her to look at the matter with her head, not heart. But trust, emotions are usually stronger than knowledge!

She called me yesterday, and told me she was going ahead with the courtship. It's her call. But i didn't fail to warn her that she could be receiving hotter slaps in the years ahead. Kicks could even follow!

If you were in her shoes, as a lady, what would have been your decision?

Was my advice a wrong one?

Is N80,000 Salary Per Month Good To Start A Family With?

This argument came up in my hostel when we started to discuss about the current job opportunities in the country and their salaries.. We then ventured into the banking sector sector in which a brother said those accountants collect just 80k per month... He said the money is so foolish and so low that he can't marry a wife with that amount of money.. I counter him and based my own argument on the fact that the money is manageable and I ll set up a marriage and start a life with it..Some agreed with my decision while others are like neva will they marry with data on d ground that it's to low to survive... I believed that everyone has its own philosophy of tot... My question is directed majorly to the graduated ones... . Based on the limited job opportunities and low salary for d available ones, Is 80k manageable to start a living or not...Pls comment with reasons.... Thanks

Wike Worships Money; He Can Betray His Mother For Money - Amaechi

Rivers State Governor, Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, has taken a pot shot at the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state, Nyesom Wike, alleging that the PDP flag bearer can betray his biological mother for money.

Amaechi, who disclosed this at a town hall meeting in Port Harcourt on Thursday, described Wike as a thug who was unfit to lead the state, but admitted that it would be the prerogative of the people to decide who they want to emerge as governor.

According to him, “Nyesom Wike loves and worships money; he can betray his mother for money – nothing more, nothing less. It is on to the people of Rivers state to decide who you want to vote for. You want to vote for God, or you want to vote for Satan?”

While claiming that the PDP was afraid to come out for election because the era of re-writing election results was fading, the Governor called on the people to vote rightly and stand on their vote, no matter the circumstances.

His words, “PDP is afraid to come out for an election; they are used to writing results and the era of writing results is coming to an end. How can you see a man like a tout like Nyesom Wike and you will allow him to address you?

“Be assured that no matter how many criminals Nyesom Wike brings out, no matter how many militants he brings out, if we hold our vote and vote rightly, we will defeat him.

“Wike is in a fight for immunity and by God’s grace he will not get immunity because he has to answer for all the death in Omofro. Who killed the people they killed in Omofro? Who killed the two persons in my local government area on Saturday March 28?”

On his agitations for the removal of the Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, in the state, Amaechi expressed optimistic that more INEC personnel would be available to supervise this Saturday’s election.

He called on the people of the state to be careful with the REC, accusing her of helping PDP win the election in Rivers state as “the woman is clear about what she wants to do”.

“Her plan is to deliver PDP; she is not joking about it. She is serious about it. Your own job is not allow her do what you don’t want her to do. I won’t allow her to do that in my village,” he said.

GODWIN by Korede Bello: Is It A Gospel Song Or Worldly Song?

So this afternoon I came across a post saying a UK based Pastor was criticising a church in Lagos for inviting Korede Bello to render his hit song;GODWIN.

I am forced to wonder if the song or the singer determines the genre of a song.

What makes a song gospel or secular? Is it the song (the message) or the singer?

PDP Workers On Strike Over Non-payment Of Three Months Salaries - Daily Trust

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) workers at the party's national secretariat, Abuja, have gone on strike following the non-payment of their salaries which they said are for three months.

Our Correspondent gathered that the workers, who are mostly youths working as cleaners and messengers, commenced the strike on Tuesday, after all other means to get their pay failed to yield positive results.

The party's national secretariat was very dirty when our reporter visited it as the striking workers refused to perform their duties.

Some of them who came to the secretariat were seen sitting idle, wearing sad look on their faces and complaining that they had been spending their monies on transportation to the secretariat for the past three months without payment.

One of them who looked very hungry and tired told our correspondent on condition of anonymity that their major fear is that the PDP had been defeated in the March 28 presidential election and may not settle them even though they had done their job.

He said the party is paying them N14, 000 each as monthly salary, adding that even when they were being paid in the past, the salary used to come late.

"I am tired of this place. We have decided that strike is the best option for us now because they don't want to pay us. You can see how the environment is today. We are not working.

"We are collecting only N14,000 each from the party as monthly salary but they have not paid us for the past three months, and you know we are very junior staff. We don't have long legs like others and we can't carry placards or banners to protest, so we want our salaries paid," he said.

He called on the party's national chairman, Alhaji Adamu Mu'azu to address the situation, describing it as sad and unfortunate.

However, calls put to the PDP national publicity secretary, Olisa Metuh, to confirm the development were unsuccessful.

Prophet TB Joshua Lays Curses On Zimbabweans For Spreading Lies Against Him

The pastor and the founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Prophet TB Joshua, has rained cuses on some Zimbabweans whom he claimed are spreading false rumuors about him.

The controversial pastor said on Thursday, April 8, 2015 that if the people did not desist from spreading lies against him, they would be utterly destroyed.

Zimbabwean media claimed that Joshua had predicted that three of their prominent preachers would die this year. The alleged prophecy was contained in a message delivered by TB Joshua in his church.

The transcript of the message was published by state-owned Herald newspaper in Zimbabwe.

Joshua was quoted to have said, “I saw in a vision a flag, the Lord said that’s the flag of Zimbabwe. In the vision behold there were three trees, but of the three trees only one had roots, the other two were standing, but had no roots.

“The Lord said look again and when I looked the other tree had fallen, and another tree was about to fall. The Lord said take this message to Zimbabwe and tell them, I am cleaning up Prophets in their nation, and the work has already began.

“The three trees represent the three well known prophets in that nation, one who has already fallen and the other about to fall harder than the first.”

But speaking through his verified Facebook page, TB Joshua said he did not make such pronouncements because he was not given such a prophecy by God.

He said, “Good morning, people of Zimbabwe. Our attention has been drawn to false rumours spread by the father of lies which are currently being circulated around Zimbabwe. The reward of liars is destruction.

“We hereby curse, in the name of Jesus, whoever is spreading these rumours. Prophet T.B. Joshua can NEVER and he will NEVER give such a message because our God is not the God of confusion. We should be very careful not to touch an anointed man of God and lie against him.

“The Bible says in John 8:44 that satan is ‘the father of lies’. Don’t listen to the father of lies, the sons of lies and the daughters of lies. Do not sit somewhere, hear this or that and come to a hasty conclusion. God requires that we find out the truth from Him first and hold fast to that which is true, as the Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5:21.”

Fayose's Impeachment: Ekiti House Of Assembly Directs Chief Judge To Set Up Panel

The impeachment proceedings against Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State moved one step forward today with a resolution by the House of Assembly, under the leadership of Speaker Wale Omirin to authorize the Chief Judge to set up an impeachment panel to look into the allegations of gross misconduct against the governor.

The resolution, obtained exclusively by SaharaReporters, was signed by the speaker and two other members of the "G19", the 19 majority members of the All Progressives Congress who want the two-time governor removed from office.

Our sources said the House membership met at an undisclosed location in Ado-Ekiti to discuss the way forward following the notice of impeachment they served against Fayose on March 3rd 2015.

Appearing on a live radio and television show on Tuesday, Governor Fayose bragged, “I’m like Israel that is in the midst of enemies but will always prevail. Whoever wants to remove me will first have to impeach God.”

In October 2006, Fayose and his first term deputy, Mrs. Biodun Olujimi, were impeached on corruption charges. If impeached in the ongoing drama, he would become the first man in Nigerian history to be impeached twice from the same elected position.

SaharaReporters has published evidence as to how the Peoples Democratic Party, in collusion with the security services, rigged him back to power in June 2014.

PDP Will Win Lagos Governorship Election – Mu’azu

From TAIWO AMODU, Abuja

National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Adamu Mu’azu, has again expressed confidence that his party would win Saturday’s governorship election in Lagos State.

In a statement signed by the former Bauchi State governor in Abuja, he premised his conviction on the party’s impressive performance in the presidential election in the state.

Mu’azu urged the party faithful not to be dispirited by its defeat in the presidential election as he noted that the party’s flag bearer, Jimi Agbaje, was a formidable candidate.

Mu’azu said: “Lagos State cannot remain an Island of continuity in a sea of change. For the next Saturday, April 11 gubernatorial election, the formidable PDP candidate in Lagos State, Mr. Jimi Agbaje, should easily beat his rival All Progressives Congress (APC) flag bearer, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, in the election.

“The PDP came very close to winning the presidential elections in Lagos State and our supporters must not relent because Lagos is going the PDP way for the first time since 1999.

“It is going to be a desirable change because the pedigree of our candidate is formidable. This has obviously caused consternation in the APC as they continue to find a way of stopping the Jimi Agbaje success train in its tracks.”

Mu’azu, who expressed consternation over comments attributed to the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, also accused the government-in-waiting of keeping silent over the unsavoury remarks of the traditional ruler.
