Introverts In Relationships, How Do You Cope?

Being an introvert doesn't mean you are shy. An introvert is simply someone who is energized by being alone. Unlike an extrovert who draws energy by being around people and around stimulating environments, an introvert is drained by such environments. An introvert doesn't have the natural drive to partake in events and social gathering and functions and if he our she engages in them, he or she would need a lot of time alone to get back the energy lost.

The current Nigerian society has been wired to favor the extroverts. Our social, economic, cultural and political society structures has been constructed in a way that makes one wonder if we are really living in an extrovert's world

When it comes to relationships, introverts are hugely misunderstood especially when its an introvert/extrovert relationship.

For example an introvert may choose to spend more time with himself/herself not because he or she doesn't want to spend time with the partner, but because naturally he or she prefers to spend reasonable amount of time with himself /herself

Also an introvert may not be as outgoing and may not like to attend parties and social functions with the partner and this could dent the growth of the relationship

So my question to all introverts out there In a relationship. How do you cope?

Also if you are in a relationship with an introvert, how do you cope?

Buhari Not In London Hospital – Garba Shehu

THE Major-General Muhammadu Buhari’s campaign organization, has dismissed as false reports that the All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate is being treated at a hospital located at Cavendish Street, Cavendish Square, W2 London West End, London and he is not listed by the Chatham House as speaker any time soon. According to online media, Pointblank news, Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, described Buhari’s ‘’medical trip’’ as a vindication of his earlier stand that Buhari was sick and lacked the required capacity to rule Nigeria.

Reacting to Fayose’s statement, Spokesman of the Buhari campaign organisation, Malam Garba Shehu, told Saturday Vanguard on phone: ‘’That is Fayose with his death wish for General Buhari,” adding that Buhari is not not in any hospital in London. ‘’There is nothing like that,’’ he stressed.

Asked if Buhari would give a talk at the prestigious foreign policy hub, the Royal Institute of International Affairs, Chatham House London, he said: ‘’We have a Thursday date. We are working on the details. May be it will be ready tomorrow or Monday, otherwise I would have given you the title of the lecture and time.’’

Boy Killed In Kaduna During Fight Over Jonathan’s Billboard

A teenage boy has been killed in a row over a campaign billboard of President Goodluck Jonathan in Zangon Aya, Igabi local government of Kaduna State. Sama’ila Umar was stabbed in the back and later fell down a deep well after a brief argument over the Attention of Jonathan’s billboard in the town.

Police confirmed the incident and said one Mohammed Suleiman was arrested. A source in Zangon Aya told Weekly Trust yesterday that the incident happened on Thursday at about 7pm. He said “Mohammed Suleiman came with posters of the president and was looking for a spot to erect a giant billboard. The deceased, Umar, told him not to place any poster or erect a campaign billboard in the town because the area was the stronghold of the opposition party and billboard might be damaged.”

The source said Suleiman refused to heed the advice and was angered when Umar kept pleading with him over the matter. “He brought out a knife and stabbed Umar and chased him. Umar is from the nearby Kadaugi village and was not familiar with the area and he fell into a well.” His corpse was removed and buried.

Tension swelled in the town following the incident but extra policemen were deployed before the situation got out of hand.

Suleiman was said to be a relative of a popular politician in the area and an aide to Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero.

Police spokesman deputy superintendent Zubairu Abubakar said Suleiman was arrested and investigation is ongoing and homicide charges may be pressed against the suspect.
