1,700 Graduates Employed By SURE-P In Kano State.

About 1, 700 graduates in Kano State have been enrolled into the Graduate Internship Scheme (GIS) of the Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme (SURE-P).

The Director of GIS, Mr. Peter Papka, made this disclosure during a training for interns and firms representatives in Kano yesterday.

Rrepresented by Hajiya Halima Musa, the director said SURE-P screened over 2000 graduates in the state, out of which 1, 700 graduates were engaged.

“The GIS initiative by SURE-P intends to bridge the gap between school and the labour market in order to provide graduates with career path development while they continue searching for jobs.

The scheme is designed in such a way that it provides graduates opportunities to build a platform on which their future will rest”, he said.
