Ahmed Musa Hit Brace in CSKA Win, 2ND in Scorers’ Chart in Russia League.

Ahmed Musa’s brace helped CSKA Moscow defeat Terek Grozny 2-1 on Saturday and moved second in the goal-scorers’ chart in Russia.



Musa has now scored nine goals this season and trail Zenit St-Petersburg striker José Salomón Rondón by one goal, but leads team-mate Bibras Natcho and Zenit’s Hulk who are tied on 8 goals apiece.



The Nigeria international placed CSKA ahead of Terek at the break, poking in after a deflection by from an attacking midfielder Alan Dzagoev.

Musa restored CSKA’s one-goal cushion in the 76th minute after a great solo effort by Mario Fernandez.



CSKA trail Russian Premier League leaders Zenit by seven points in second place after 18 rounds of matches.



Zenith beat Ural 3-0 at home on Saturday with Venezuelan striker Rondon scoring all three goals to leapfrog Musa in the league goals race.
