Yaya Toure, Toulalan And the Missing Champions League Stars. (See Full List)

The first knockout round continues with four ties this week and there are a number of high-profile players who are injured or suspended.




Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund and Monaco are the sides most hit by injury concerns going into their Champions League last-16 first leg fixtures this week.



Manchester City v Barcelona looks like the tie of the round and both sides will be at close to full strength, although the Premier League Champions will be without key midfielder Yaya Toure.



The Africa Cup of Nations winner is out through suspension after his sending off against CSKA Moscow in the group stages James Milner missed the victory over Newcastle with a knee injury but has not yet been ruled out of the match.



Barcelona are without long-term absentee Thomas Vermaelen(hamstring) and will make a late check on the fitness of Jordi Alba(knock).



Juventus are missing Kwadwo Asamoah, who has a knee injury.Andrea Barzagli(ankle),Alessandro Matri and Luca Marrone(both thigh) are all rated as doubtful.



Opponents Borussia Dortmund have a long list of players who could miss the match.Kevin Grosskreutz is a definite absentee with a hamstring problem, while Sven Bender(knee) and Sebastian Kehl(shoulder) will get further time to prove their fitness.



BVB are also hoping a flu outbreak - which has affected a number of key players - will not stop the likes of Mats Hummels,Ciro Immobile,Erik Durm and Jakub BÅ‚aszczykowski from participating.



RULED OUT| Arteta is one of many Arsenal stars set to miss the game with Monaco Arsenal will face Monaco without the services ofMikel Arteta(ankle),Mathieu Debuchy(shoulder) and Abou Diaby(calf).



The Gunners will also assess the fitness of Jack Wilshere(ankle),Aaron Ramsey(hamstring) and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain(groin), all of whom are doubts.



Monaco are definitely without suspended captain Jeremy Toulalan. Leonardo Jardim’s side are also sweating over the fitness of Layvin Kurzawa, who had to be substituted with a thigh problem in their win over Nice on Friday.



Joao Moutinho(ankle),Ricardo Carvalho(calf),Tiemoue Bakayoko(thigh) and Andrea Raggi(knee) will all be the subject of late checks.



Omer Toprak(suspension) and Robbie Kruse(ankle) are certain to be out for Bayer Leverkusen, who also have doubts over the fitness of Lars Bender(knee) and Tin Jedvaj(hamstring).



Atletico Madrid are hoping to report a clean bill of health for the match against the Bundesliga side, but will wait to see ifKoke(hamstring) andTiago(calf) can recover in time.
